I love this place. Usually a very quiet low key pub, always very welcoming. On this occasion there was a live music jazz/swing 4 piece band and the pub was very busy by it's own standards. Recommended if you into quite, friendly drinking.

Great pub potential. However owners dog bit me. Apparently that is OK because it's a rescue dog and he will tell you it bites lots of customers! Owner does not take cards of any sort so you had better turn up with plenty of cash because you will be paying London prices!!! Great place for Gammons and Brexiteers. Dont even try to suggest the stupidity of that position if you want to escape alive🤯

A super friendly pub. The landlord Barry is a gentleman and a scholar.

This is a great little pub with a friendly welcome and warm atmosphere. Well worth popping in for a pint of well kept beer.
No food is served, so landlord provides plates and cutlery for the local Indian takeaway (this is a rare example of this great combination in Oxfordshire!)

Barry the Landlord was an excellent host for our two evenings drinking late in Charlbury. The pub is very comfortable with great beers on tap and the group was made very welcome. It’s unmissable on a trip to Charlbury. Will remember Barry very fondly and hope to meet him again soon

Very traditional pub. Welcoming hosts, good beer and a friendly atmosphere.
We will definitely be back next time we are in the Cotswolds.
