Brilliant location and decor. However, the service could have been better. We were told thay of we picked an outside table that someone would be out to start taking orders. Unfortunately, had to order at the bar as the two waitresses just reset another table and seemed to just look on. Various food items were unavailable which did have an impact on the choice of dish selected. The sharing platter was served promptly and was very tasty.

Fantastic food and brilliant environment. Sitting by the River Thames eating on the terraces was a memorable experience and the mixed grill was very filling.
Great selection of non alcohol beers including "old speckled hen" . Hotel accommodation available but we were off site.

We had a small hike day. So we arrive around noon. We had tea and lunch until our room was ready. Lucy our wait staff was kind and personable. The price was reasonable. The view and ambiance were so nice. The menu had many plant based options for vegans. The hotel/restaurant is right on the Thames Path. The hotel was clean and safe.

Been coming here when I can for 30 years. The atmosphere has been steadily eroded over the years with each " improvement". Food was disappointing, roast dinner was nearly cold and roast potatoes were actually deep fried & full of oil.
Good river walk both ways and good to have a drink here when you've gone far enough.
It's special to me as being the last place I saw my dad in 1996, he passed a week later.

Stopped for lunch on a Thursday afternoon. Excellent coffee, and good food. Good selection of vegetarian options. Bathrooms are nice (v nice smelling soap!). Sat outside, which is lovely.

We visited on Sunday for a lunch. The staff were welcoming and efficient they could not do enough for us and as my husband is disabled this was most welcome. The food was excellent as was the service and the real ale. I highly recommend this venue it also has the advantage of being in a beautiful setting.

Popped in for lunch with our 1 year old, lunch in the bar next to a lovely fireplace.
Relaxing atmosphere. Host was very friendly and young barman very attentive.
Food was delicious! We will be back :)

A great find. Booked for a midway meet with friends. The sun shone on us, which made walking alongside the Thames a real pleasure. Comfortable rooms and restaurant/bar. Good value food. Friendly, efficient staff. Enjoyed our stay and hope to return.
