Just got home after an amazing Wednesday night meal! Just busy enough that it had a nice atmosphere and also quiet enough that everything was quick and perfect. 3 courses and wine and soft drinks for 2 came to £80 including a tip. Will be going back as soon as possible!

Lovely little county pub. We had a lovely meal there. I had the home made scotch eggs to start and they were amazing ! I also had the a couple of points of the pubs own brewed beer "old lion ale" I would highly recommend this. I will most definitely be returned here.

They hosted our gender party reveal and it was absolutely fantastic!
The food table was lovely, many options for our guests who loved every single thing: different types of cheese, biscuits, sausage rolls, pork pies, fruits, rolls, Scotch eggs, dips and specially the chicken goujons. All very tasty and fresh!
Everyone felt welcomed by the staff and the drink service was fast and perfect!
The pub looks really nice and is dog friendly,
They also have the best homemade brownies I have ever ate!
To finish we had local made ice cream, it was delicious! And they also have vegan options.
I will definitely be back for dinner and Sunday roast!

Food good but an unfriendly welcome. Waited a long time to be greeted and seated. Bar man was told off by the owner in front of us for trying to help, which was awkward. The use of face coverings by staff made this unwelcoming start all the more awkward. Time could also be spent on the finishing touches - ripped cushions, cobwebs etc. Prices could be justified if the finer issues were resolved , as meal was nice.

The environment is nice with both indoor and outdoor seating. Quite an extensive menu, but pricey, soup came with two slim slices of baguette and no butter, asked for butter and was charged £1 for two portions. Starters, main, non alcoholic drink and coffee for two £50.00!

Highly recommend visiting this place. It has really turned around. Some amazing deals with steak night. Two steaks and a bottle of wine for only £20! It’s really good steak as well. Pie night is also on if that’s your thing. Looking forward to lamb being on the new autumn menu. Friendly staff as well.

Delicious food and a varied menu. Brought my mum for lunch on her birthday and we really enjoyed our meal.
We'll definitely be back soon!
