Absolutely fantastic atmosphere with great pub food. Staff are on top of their game.
Huge fireplace which must be amazing when it's cold.
I will visit again

Came here for sunday roast, the Staff was super friendly and welcoming,we didn't have booking but they still managed to find us a table. Food was served very quick and absolutley delicious !

An excellent village pub, delivering first class food. Our vegetarian guests requested off menu if possible which was met without question or hesitation and an amazing plate of deep fried haloumi was served. The mixed fish salad with new potatoes was recommended and ordered and thoroughly enjoyed. Well done to all involved at the Rose and Crown.

First time visit to a pub we have been meaning to visit for a long time.

Visited on a Wednesday lunch time and it was fairly quiet, about 4 tables occupied. However, this is a fairly small pub, so booking is probably required for any evening meal.

Although the pub is small, there is ample parking and also a nice beer garden and further (sheltered) outdoor seating.

The menu is nicely varied and full of very tasty sounding options. We had the lamb chops and the burger; both were delicious.

Puddings were also great, beer is well kept (choice of Landlord, Pride or Tribute), and the owners were very friendly.

Our family loves this place and we've been to many wonderful restaurants and pubs. I love the little touches they create, be it Happy Birthday napkins, the charming ambiance - their selflessness to enable great memories. The Rose and Crown I highly and sincerely recommend. I strongly recommend you book early - this place is a gift.

Had a pre booked lunch here today with a large group as we were going on to Thenford Arboretum afterwards. The food was lovely and the staff so welcoming and friendly. Despite the fact that there were thirty six people for lunch it was superbly organised and service was so smooth. Would definitely recommend this pub for food and ambience to anyone.

Really friendly staff and the food was excellent and beautifully presented. Visited again today and still impressed with the food. Only criticism was that it was quite cold, they could do with lighting their open fire a few hours before opening to warm the place up.

We booked some takeaway pizza from the Rose & Crown. They were running a little late but we enjoyed a drink in the beer garden (no complaints here!). The pizzas were fantastic - really tasty, hot and filling. Would definitely come back.
