Stayed here for one night, lovely room, well furnished and all the amenities even shower gel which isn’t often provided! Nice price and easy walk to the Palace. Very welcoming staff too. Quite a warm room and windows didn’t open. Don’t leave the lights on accidentally, halogen bulbs add to the heat!

Delicious food, generous portions and really good value. Love the staff as well and it’s a really nice place to relax for a drink. One of the best around!

I stayed here for two nights, and was pleasantly surprised by it. The room is great, the bed is soft and comfy and the staff is super friendly. I enjoyed one night a meal in the pub, and it was finger licking good! The ribs are a recommendation! Thank you for making my stay so lovely.

Had a catastrophically bad experience here. Came for a relaxing pub lunch which we'd had been looking forward to based on the good reviews. After waiting 1 and 1/2 hours for our food. It came to us cold and was middling at best. I understand mistakes can being made, accidents happen but at least make sure the food is on point when it arrives. We did receive a discount however this was probably one of the worst dining experiences I've had.

It took almost an hour to order our food. When it arrived an hour later it was cold. Worse still the quality of the food itself was just miserable.

I’ve had better service and better quality of food in a run of the mill Weatherspoons. A uniquely dissatisfying dining experience. Will never be back.

Disappointing.

We had a roast on Sunday, having been a few times before and enjoying what we ate.

This time however, the food was luke warm and my roast potatoes were hard.

The staff were friendly, but not laying cutlery before food was served etc, meant we were sitting with our food in front of us for a few minutes whilst they went off to retrieve them and the sauces. So luke warm food was even more tepid once we could eat it.

One of our favourite pubs in the whole UK. Very traditional English Village pub restaurant with great atmosphere, both from staff and locals, and food is first class, especially Sunday Lunch. Just sad that we only get to visit when we are in the area.

A cosy bustling friendly pub. Good range of beers and the meal we had on a Friday night was plentiful, well cooked and good value.
