Very tasty, well prepared, home cooked food, with a decent presentation and excellent taste
And that in the lower pub price range.

It was a bit of a surprise find really.
The car park was almost empty, to the point where we thought, can it be that bad?

Came inside and were welcomed by friendly staff.

What I would say is, they are hiding it well, but once you order the food, then the world is all in order.

We stumbled across this hidden gem while in the area yesterday. What a lovely atmosphere! The pub itself was decorated with historic and quirky memorabilia and it was an absolute pleasure to be in such comfortable, welcoming surroundings. To top this the staff were overflowing and catered to our every need. A great choice of ales pleased the men folk! We had two dogs in tow and it was lovely that the staff made them welcome, even providing 2 sausages for them on request. The menu was perfect and had many options! The food was outstanding and great value for money as it was homemade! I can recommend the chilli! Pubs like this are worth a great review. Overall I will definitely be visiting again. I would give this hidden gem 10 out of 10 in fact more! Thank you to the staff for making us so welcome during our impromptu visit 😊

Shame !! Was looking forward to visiting this place after reading the good reviews. So Friday night thought I'd pop in for a couple of drinks and a evening meal with the wife round about 8 o'clock.
The place was not that busy, there were places to sit ,I got served, asked for the menu, was told they didn't do food ,my mouth must dropped open ,as I was only reading a few minutes ago about how good the food was.
Walked into another room in the place there were people eating.
I ask what time the food finishes was told 7.30pm, strange time to finish the food when you fancy dinner at 8.00pm

Lovely traditional pub hidden away but huge car park. Very helpful and attentive staff. Haven’t had a meal there: next visit!

Very obliging food nice .. Dining room needs to be a little warmer. Although room is small and they want to seat as many as posdible if it was to get busy but far to much furniture in a small place.
