Brave Old Oak

This has to be the most friendly and welcoming pub in the town. I have never been here before but I was greeted with a smile and treated with extremely friendly courtesy. Nothing was too much trouble. I ordered food that was reasonably priced and of excellent quality. Whilst eating, I was asked by two different people if I had everything I needed and was I enjoying the meal. As I was eating, I had finished my drink, I was asked by the landlord if I wanted another, as I went to get up I was told, sit down and I will bring it to you. Fantastic service.

We'd tried to go to the garden centre up the road but they'd closed the cafe. I Googled local pubs and this one had good reviews. I phoned and spoke to Sally who was very nice and said yes it was still food time. Arrived, Sally very pleasant and welcoming. She seemed really genuine and friendly. Not like some of these generic HAVE A NICE DAY types. She saved the day!

Stopped here for food and drink whilst traveling to see family . Was greeted with a friendly face and a warm welcome.
Bar staff are really friendly and very helpful , Craig and Lindsay are good hosts and chatted to us at the bar for a while .
We had a meal which was lovely and an excellent pint of lager . This place has a traditional, friendly feel to it , will definitely be returning when in the area .

I was on a weekend break with my family and they wanted me to visit this pub and it didn't disappoint lovely atmosphere and friendly staff

Had a nice meal as a family here. Reasonable pricing and a good selection of beers available. Would visit again the next time in area.

Really lovely pub in the centre of town. An extremely warm welcome - couldn't do enough for us (or the dogs). Great food, and good value too.

Sally and the other staff are extremely friendly and so welcoming to new people. The pub has a lovely atmosphere and food. I highly recommend the Brave Old Oak. Xx

Love this pub in the middle of Towcester, great atmosphere with a top landlord.
Ordered a full English breakfast and wasn't disappointed.
Highly recommended.
