Visited the new Inn with a friend for tea on Wednesday 20th April, What can I say, friendly bar staff, good beer & excellent service, I ordered the Chicken & Leek pie which was delicious, good portion sizes, nicely presented & homecut chip pan chips which you very seldom see in pubs and restaurants these days. Was rather impressed I will definitely be back again & will recommend to other friends & family. Keep up the good work.

Went today after a year of living in Barlby. We booked a table for 10 for my birthday. It was a nightmare trying to get a drink, as far as I could see there was only one barmaid and one waitress when the pub was really busy. The queue for the bar was really long and went down painfully slow. I don't blame the barmaid, she was trying her best. The only saving grace was the food. It was really tasty and the portions were really generous

Lovely village pub with great food and friendly atmosphere. Sports on tv and a pool table and juke box …… does it get any better

Where do I begin? Firstly, an apology.. We have lived in Barlby for 3 years and had every good intention of visiting this pub, but never seemed to get around to it.. then covid lockdown arrived... Fast forward to Jan 2022..we decided to support local business as much as we can now restrictions are ending and WOW.. this place is spotless, and I mean spotlessly clean. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, there's sport on TV, pool table and a dart board, parking at the rear and small kiddies play area. On the 29th Jan there is a Robbie Williams tribute act, so live music comes around regularly. We decided to have a meal... Oh boy what a meal, far and away the best we've tasted. The menu is extensive and not in any way expensive, they even do Chinese meals which is popular and unusual for a pub meal. Simply put, pay this establishment a visit, you won't regret it. It doesn't look much from the outside but it's gorgeous inside.

First and last time to eat there...
Waited hour and a half for food.. asked a few times ... wont be long!

Food wasnt great . Clearly see meat had been sitting as it had a hard crust on it , veg cold and so was potatoes.
Fish bites were not much better as the batter was still raw on the inside.

The young man serving was very nice shame couldnt say same for woman behind the bar .
Bad day when locals tell you previous week a family got that fed up waiting for food for his children.. woman behind the bar threw them out.. as they
went to the chip shop nearby and bought food for the children great for business

So happy my local has better service and quality food
