Good menu and at reasonable prices. However, if I was the chef, I would have been too embarrassed to put the overcooked, grease laden chips out. Next table didn't seem to suffer the issue. Made mention to the waitress but no feedback.

Stopped early evening for something to eat. The service was excellent, the staff very friendly and the food was outstanding. We asked for some changes to the meals and this was no problem whatsoever. We have eaten there before and will certainly return in future.

We stayed overnight and had dinner and breakfast, the room was so comfy, the staff were very welcoming and helpful. Our meal was delicious but the cheesecake was to die for. We had a full English breakfast in morning, with choices of cereals and jams. Plus it is a beautiful part of the country

Food and drink were well priced, staff were very nice and accommodating, food portions were generous and extremely yummy!

Only downside is that dogs are not usually welcome however, staff made an exception for our Boston Terrier and seated us where guide dogs and their family usually sit.

We will be coming back with our family for sure!

Food very good , staff very good , portion of cheese cake very stingy , looked like half portion for £7 ? Realistic price £2.50 ! Also ask for extra gravy as not a lot on plate. Charged £1.20 , they did take it off when mentioned to be fair. I know we are in a struggling economy but don’t be mean ! Custom before profit is achievable as well as still get your profit.

Excellent pate on the starter with a sufficiency of toast!!

Scampi was very acceptable and the Ceasar Salad was big on quality and portion.

Real ale good, service friendly and prompt.

Been before and will be back.

The food was good, staff were nice and I think it was good value. Venue for me feels quite dated and things like being served sauce in plastic takeaway pots detract from the experience of eating out.

Nine of us went for a family Christmas meal yesterday. There wasn’t a lot of atmosphere. We had prebooked our meal as asked but was then told that there was no fruit to go on 2 of the sweets we had ordered.3 of us had the Christmas dinner but we’re disappointed as the roast potatoes were very hard and inedible. We have been to the Pytchley a number of times but will think twice again.
