Really friendly pub.
Traditional decor which could probably do with a bit of a makeover..but the lovely owners more than made up for this.
Had a nice Sunday dinner here.
Beer is only £2 a pint...which pleased my partner.
We were only holidaying in that part of Yorkshire
If we lived there it would definitely be our local.
Dog friendly and family friendly

We stayed overnight for a small weekend break.
We knew the pub and hotel only took cash...
Food was lovely and good value, drinks were great value.
Bingo on a Saturday night was a surprise bonus.
Excellent location for beautiful countryside and surrounding beauty spots.
Wonderful and attentive hosts.
Excellent service.
Clean and comfortable room.
Highly recommended and we will return.

Ideal spot for a bite to eat and a pint or two. We arrived as a group of 14 and although serving time for food had passed the staff were very accommodating and quickly rustled up lunch for all of us. Good selection from the menu and the very nice food was all served with a smile. Phones and tablets are not allowed but all of our children were happily entertained with the vast array of board games which all led to an enjoyably calm and relaxed couple of hours

Much improved by Wendy & Ian ( new landlords) the food is very good & reasonably priced. The pub is warm & comfortable. The ales are well kept & you won't be out of pocket. Vey well worth a visit or two.

Amazing, homely, traditional pub. Warm and welcoming with 2 open fires and a lovely friendly atmosphere. The food was delicious, especially the sticky toffee pudding! Best we've ever had!
It's a mobile free zone! Yes people you have to look at each other! 😂 Although the amazing views out of the windows do deserve some attention.
Lots of games to keep everyone entertained too.
Will no doubt be back in tomorrow!

Traditional interior with a warm fireplace. The only options on tap when I was there were Sam Smith, which I don't care for. The pub is a WiFi-free/mobile-free zone, which I completely appreciate and enjoy, but it could do without the rather preachy signs to that affect throughout the bar. There are plenty of games to occupy yourselves.
