O my goodness this place is an absolute must the food is the best we've had in a long time lovely staff and good atmosphere. Good choice on the menu.

We had the most amazing meal and fantastic service and all the staff are so lovely and helpful.

Loved this place. A little rough around the edges but the staff are wonderful and all the other punters were chatty, friendly and full of cheer. They even rustled us up a beef cob because they'd run out of veg for the roasts despite the fact the kitchen was closed. Great afternoon.

We live in the village but this was our first time having a meal at the George. Wow first class service, excellent allergy knowledge ( I'm a Coeliac) super choices, great food quality, quick service and nice atmosphere.

Super little pub, tucked away in the quaint village of Newton. The food is to die for, tradition fare cooked perfectly. The staff are second to none and make you feel as if you're the only people they are there to serve. Well worth a visit, book early as limited seating and is extremely popular.

Really nice friendly pub with excellent live music on a Saturday night. Loved it.

Lovely little pub with great value food. The mixed grill was huge and nice quality meat. I had the hake for starters and it was fresh and well cooked. For the chip lovers these are a must, homemade and triple cooked. Will absolutely visit again.
