I think this is a popular local pub. We were just driving through. The pub was fine but the toilet had no toilet paper and I’m not sure what’s going on with the lock. I almost had to call my husband to get me out of there.

This was the perfect cosy and quaint pub. The food was delicious, the portions huge and the price was the best I've seen in a long time. The staff were very friendly and welcoming to both humans and dogs! Would definitely recommend you popping in, even if it's only for a quick drink.

We found this pub on Google maps. After visiting the steam railway. The staff were very friendly. Nice warm fire in pub. Food was amazing. Great place to eat. Loved the fresh homemade chips. And dog friendly. Definitely worth a visit.

Just had surf and turf in the red cow. Wow massive steak beautifully prepared and cooked with prawns, chips and side salad. Melted in my mouth. If your ever neat this pub I highly recommend you visit and try out their beautiful wood open fire and enjoy their menu. Very welcoming and helpful staff.

Very good pub grub, decent pint and a friendly welcome. Make sure you book as it can get busy.

Whilst stopping in Talgarth and the rain wasn't letting up so we took our Grandchildren to Vertigo indoor play zone, after we turned up to the Red Cow pub of the beaten track in Ponticill ( reccomend booking main meal times). The reviews were great, We were greeted by friendly staff and made room for our party of four, drinks order taken followed up with food order, i was pointed towards the stack burger and why not . The food came 20/30 minutes later with the portion sizes were just right, we finished all our meals but left no room for pudding but enjoyed our meal & time here. lovely pub an friendly staff, Many thanks Neil

Lovely pub, good atmosphere, clean, and friendly staff, with nice local beer on tap.

Unfortunately the food was pretty bad. The 'katsu' curry was about as far from a katsu' as you can get. Shredded chicken in lots of strong curry powder with an Indian naaan bread for some reason and microwaved rice :(
