Absolutely brilliant pub. Landlady so friendly.
Sunday lunch was excellent, the Welsh beef so tender, served and presented as itcwould be in a good restaurant. Cannot fault it at all.
Village residents also so friendly, very pretty village, well worth visiting.

I can't give a review of the Ty Gwyn Hotel as unfortunately it was shut. We came to stay at the nearby campsite which was great, and we were looking forward to visiting the local pub at the end of the road. However, we were very disappointed to find out that the Ty Gwyn was shut. We were told on arrival that it may be open on the Wednesday night, so we thought we would be able to go there on the last night of our stay, but no, it was shut then too. Strange opening hours I must say, especially during the summer holidays when there are visitors to the campsite! It did look like a nice place though, so hopefully it might be open on our next stay at the campsite.

Discovered accidentally, but became the highlight of our break. A quaint charming building with exceptionally welcoming and pleasant staff. The menu, food and service put to shame many 'high-end city restaurants. Already planning our return.

This pub was in a very short distance from our holiday let. Lovely ambience, lovely staff, nice beer at reasonable prices. They did do food be we didn't partake. Can't find any negatives.

That pleasant i/we went in both days of our trip. 1st evening had some drinks in the main bar where there was a large selection and reasonably priced. Went back the following day as a fair sized group for Sunday lunch and it was spot on. Couldn't fault anything the food was lovely (Beef) others had Turkey and nut roast, followed by sweets. Definitely a pub to recommend and the staff and locals were very accommodating.

This pub was recommended by our B&B, Glenn Isa, which was not too far away and I have to say, it was such a great atmosphere. The waitresses were so nice and we enjoyed the food! If you’re lucky, you might hear everyone singing together in Welsh!
Make sure to book a table in advance (depending on restrictions of course)!

What we ordered:
- fish & chips
- pork belly
- stella

Absolutely stunning pub/hotel. Beautiful bear gardens leading down to stream. Tented outdoor seating area and inside is quaint and interesting. Super helpful friendly staff.
Food is absolutely top drawer. Fresh veg from their garden too. Highly recommended.
