Cannot recommend this place enough. We visited this dinnertime and yesterday with our 2 young children, 1 and 3. The meals are delicious, big portions, decent prices. The pub itself is nice and clean, including the toilets. The staff were absolutely fantastic. The lady who served us on both occasions, an absolute gem. The man behind the bar this evening was lovely too, and the floor staff bringing/clearing food etc were all helpful and polite, even going as far as to clean our child's dinner plate we brought with us. Can't wait to return on our next Anglessey holiday. Loved it! Thank you.

Great food and friendly staff - real ale was limited on both visits but the chicken fillet burger is fantastic! Great chips and onion rings, nice atmosphere. Could not recommend this place more

We had our evening meal here tonight. I had steak pie, mash and peas and my friend had cheeseburger, salad, chips and onion rings. Although we found out that booking is recommended they managed to fit us in and found us a table straightaway. The food was delicious and plentiful. They also serve vegan and vegetarian main courses as well as the usual pub food, all at reasonable prices. The only suggestion I could make is that there is no vegan option for desserts which mostly use dairy icecream. We'll definitely be booking again for later this week.

Stayed here for about 3 weeks, had 2 different rooms and both were good. The beds are comfortable, rooms kept clean. Room 3 has a nice large walk in shower too.
The food here is superb. Breakfast is help yourself for cereal, toast, drinks and cooked breakfast is available to your order from poached egg on toast to full English.
The bar meals are fantastic, we had several over the weeks and definitely would recommend, although the portions are very big. Sunday roast is fantastic, even the small one is ample. The steak pie is fabulous as is the fish and chips.
The staff are great, and helpful and even if we hadn't booked a table managed to get us in somewhere.
Booking in advance for a table is recommended though, especially if you are not a resident.
Definitely would stay here again.

I haven't been here for years. It's changed a lot and for the better. It is so cozy, food was very tasty. We had Sunday lunch and soup for starters. The portions were big. I will be coming again.

Rude and poor service, food was horrible. I can only assume my steak was deep fried! No sides of veg available. Soft drinks were nasty. Plus points were beer was good and deserts tasty.....but beware the sundaes are pre made frozen items!

I recently stayed at Tafarn y Rhos pub and overall had a good experience. The basic rooms were comfortable and clean, and the cleaning level throughout the pub was impressive. The breakfast was great and the pub itself had great atmosphere with tasty pub grub. The only downsides were the very steep stairs which made it difficult to carry my suitcase, and the blue heating light in the room was very bright even when the lights were turned off. Despite these minor issues, I would recommend Tafarn y Rhos as a good place to stay

Nice place, decent beer and nice atmosphere, It's a bit more of an eatery than a pub and as we weren't eating we had to sit at the end of the bar (little seating area, not actually on the bar) it was quite busy and a lot of tables reserved for diners so it might not always be like this. We will go back as the beer was very good. We will probably eat here at some point as it looks like decent food as well. :-) (I was going to deduct a star as we were expecting a pub not a restaurant, but it is a nice place with friendly staff so it would be unfair to mark them down for being busy) Sorry, Don't know what you mean about the heating switch? must have me confused with someone else?
