I wouldn't even give a 1 star but had to to be able to post.... BEWARE GUYS...ON SUNDAY 18TH September 2022..... I ordered 2 take away dinners 1 beef 1 turkey, we got home there was No meat in either of them no roasties no Yorkshire, we live approximately 8 /10miles away , we called them explained half the food was missing,her exact words were what u want me to do send the food down the phone, I wasn't impressed at all, she called someone to give refund over the phone, as I paid cash on collection , she said I'll need ur card details for the refund she asked for my bank details, she then asked for long card number, exp date, 3 digit at the back of the card, then she asked for my house number and postcode, I got off the phone,I then realised it wernt paying in details she asked for.... it was to take out, I had to freeze my bank account..... I'm obviously not getting my £23.90 back, stay away the place is a shambles, a simple sorry and a refund would of done, I'd of been quite happy,.... Instead I had to put up with shoddy staff that acted more like bouncers from the time I walked in upto the time I phoned to complain

Your staff need to be put on leads untill they,can control themselves in public,....picture attached

Very friendly staff. Promptly shown to our table. Didn't have to wait long for our food after the order was taken. Lovely food. Will definitely return.

Nice to get a roast dinner during the week. Lovely roast beef , turkey and very tasty gravy. Enjoyed mashed potatoes,peas ,carrots swede and parsnips,Although roast potatoes had a kept warm taste ,the cabbage had been kept warm so a bit dry. But overall acceptable.

The most delicious place to eat. Food was fantastic some of the best flavours I have tasted. Excellent sized portions great value for money too. There is a huge variety of choices on the menu and the children's menu is very reasonable with great portions. The outdoor seating area is gorgeous with a designated smoking area and separate outside seating with covers. A quirky venue with stunning old features inside from the age of the pub. I will definitely be visiting again.

The shallow fry salmon in coconut vegetable curry was absolutely delicious. Great service always.

An absolutely gem of a place situated in the village of Pontlliw, its well known for its carvery and excellent range of beers, and wide selection of wines, cask ales.
They also cater for a wide range of other people's requirements.
Fabulous range of ingredients to produce the best range of Caribbean dishes, also buffet spreads.
The pub itself is very warm and atmospheric, lovely karma to the place, the staff and service are top notch. Cannot fault them at all.
But be warned, this is a very popular and busy place, You can book, which is advisable.
They also do an excellent takeaway service, Especially a Sunday dinner lunch one, The portions of the takeaway food are very generous, so could possibly feed more than the one person ordered for. Feed possibly two.
So if you are looking for a very tasteful and satisfying meal or occasion, You can't actually go wrong visiting this Charming place.

First time out with girls since lockdown decided on The Buck as we also wanted to go to a new bar near by. Service was absolutely outstanding, atmosphere fantastic food and drink good quality and cheap, Christina our waitress really looked after us. Left to spend the rest of evening at near by bar and service and vibe in the place was so poor we decided to go back to The Buck, so glad we did. What a lovely place. Thank you.

12 of us visited Christmas Day and we loved it so much we have booked for next year already. The food was delicious and pipping hot the desserts scrumptious. The staff absolutely phenomenal nothing was too much for them. It was absolutely lovely. Thanks to all the staff that took time away from their families to serve us.
