Stayed in our motorhome, no services so you have to be self contained. Free to stay as long as you partake in the pub. 1.5 miles to Llangollen along the canal which is a very pleasant walk. We stayed 2 nights and ate in there both nights, also a couple of sharp ones in the afternoon. Staff are welcoming and pleasant and the food is lovely. The views where you park up are fantastic, will definitely stay again.

We love this place and so do the dogs... The steak pie is AMAZING!!! To be honest we haven't had anything bad off the menu at all... The desserts are awesome too... They even have their own doggy menu which the pups have tried...

Stayed in our campervan, excellent stop over, really friendly staff, ideal starting base for lots of walks, you'll need these to walk off the amazing steak and ale pie😋😋

Just a ‘quick’ pop in for a drink and some ‘freshly cooked chips’ (tasty) on a walk from Llangollen Wharf. Very convenient for walkers, narrow boat people and those driving to Llangollen. Cracking views over the Dee Valley. Is ‘little changed’ in 50years except the Gents toilet has moved 🤔🙄😂.

First time visiting today, very friendly from the moment we stepped in, food is proper pub grub and large portions. Definitely worth a visit. The steak and ale pie is gorgeous, big portion and the sticky Toffee Pudding is amazing, large slice to! Prices are pretty reasonable. Great views out of the large windows.

Lovely comfortable pub with a friendly atmosphere and a homely feel...
Great staff who are polite and friendly...
And very welcoming....
Very busy at times as it is popular with locals, walkers and holiday makers alike...
We had a meal and it was quickly prepared and served...it was very tasty
In the summer enjoy a drink or two outside and admire the views of the Welsh countryside...
Oh did notice that the pub is dog friendly

Happy to have found this pub! We stopped in our campers (self build friendly 👍) and booked into the over night stay. Greeted by the owner who was very welcoming and walked us in. Lovely views and clean tidy gated carpark. Must be self sufficient. Went for a meal and a couple drinks in the pub. I had the steak & ale pie my partner had rib eye steak. Homemade chips and pie was amazing highly recommend this place. Had another meal the next day before we left. Service was great staff an owners are great. very friendly family run pub an dogs are very welcomed also.. have added some pictures of the pub, food and surrounding area. Picture taken from the Dinas bran castle and you can see how close the pub is to the canal, river and aqueduct. Will definitely be visiting again soon! Thank you
