Grove Hotel

This place is a very beautiful with a nice beer garden amazing family room and very good service. The manager Mark is very good at his job and always wants best for his customers. Hasn’t failed to fulfil any of my request. Lauren, Natalie, Sophie and Davis are really keen to get the job done and all are so friendly. They make you feel welcome so definitely bring your family here.

Phoned on same day and got same day booking so was happy at that. Dinners were brilliant. Puddings were nice but had to ask for extra custard. The lad serving us was friendly and funny. Couldn't complain about the food or service. Reason why I didn't give it 5 stars was, tables were sticky, so felt grubby even though clean, we were sticking to them. The lady's loo was a bit unclean and lacked toilet roll. My brother in law dark fruit cider smelled and tasted vingery so we did have it knocked off the bill, to which we were more than happy with. Didn't see the dog like we did last time, but there is always next time. Plenty of car parking and ideally situated in St David's.

Fantastic service, the barman /foodserver couldn't have been more helpful. Lots of choices on the menu were unavailable, the cod I had was overcooked but edible.
Get rid of the dog begging at the tables though.. not everyone's a fan.

We were a little bit disappointed when we turned up at the Grove.
The evening before,I had telephoned and BOOKED a table for eight o clock. We were assured that it was booked and were asked to be there for 7.45 so that we could order as it would be last orders.
I don’t know who the person was at the other end of the phone but she was NOT very welcoming,she was infact very fed up and made it clear. I felt talked down to if I’m honest.
I put it down to peoples personality and decided to go anyway.
On arrival there and having announce that I had booked ,the lady denied we were even booked in and confirmed that the computer had not been updated.
Never the less,this particular lady was very nice and was v Rey quick to make us feel welcome and special.
Another disappointment was that there was little choice on their “ extensive” menu,we were all looking forward to things on the menu but one by one were not available.
The food that we did eat was beautifully cooked and plentiful.the service was very attentive and as I have previously said,we were made to feel very special.
I have given a two because of initial attitude on booking and the lack of choice on a menu clearly made available.
A good night in the end but it could have been better

Just an advisory review. I rang yesterday lunchtime to see if they were still serving lunch and was politely advised that they weren’t serving food at all as they didn’t have a chef. Call before heading there for food.
18/10/22 An update, called in for a drink and found out that it’s only Tuesday and Wednesday that they don’t do food, but they’re hoping this will change in the near future.

Wonderful stay. Small but cozy room, good food, great hospitality.

Loved our last minute stay here! Booked last minute after getting back late on the ferry! Staff were super friendly and accommodating for us as we were checking in after hours. Room was nice and toasty when we arrived and the bed was ace! Very comfortable stay, will definitely be returning! Thank you Grove Hotel =)

Warm welcome from Kara on a foul night of wind and rain. We were very pleased that food was being served as everywhere else in St Davids was closed. We enjoyed the food, served quickly. Thank you Kara for finding my gloves
