What a great find! Excellent selection of food and cuisines on the menu, also for vegetarians. Almost too much choice of food. Starters and mains were excellent, especially the steak. And all serviced by very friendly and welcoming staff. (thanks)
Whilst we're only in the area for a week, and normally try different pubs/restaurants each evening whilst on holiday, I want to make an exception for this pub/inn and try some other menu selections.
Update: we went back first for take-away fish & chips (very good!), and later for another meal. Again, great food and friendly service.

Absolutely delicious meal ,beef literally melted in mouth just delicious. Beautifully presented food. Steak meal was delicious also and tender . Staff friendly and very accommodating. Best meal I've eaten out for almost a year. Also love the fact they serve plates and dishes with clothes so no finger marks and hygiene very good with service standard. Highly recommended and definitely visiting again soon.

Highly recommended little pub. We arrived right at the end of kitchen service but they allowed us to order anyway. The staff were really friendly and couldn't be more helpful.

The food came out quickly and was delicious. My partner and I had the Burger with chips which has to be one of the best burgers I have had for a long time. The meat was juicy and full of flavour. The chips were "proper" chips and were chunky and really nice (there was an option to change them to fries if you preferred). The portion size was just right with it not leaving you hungry for more but with enough space for a dessert- we all had the banoffie Sundae which was lovely.

Cost was around £30 per person for drinks, main and a dessert which for the quality of the food and the location, in my opinion, is excellent value.

Really enjoyed my lunch here today. Lovely location. Small menu but would rather that and good cooked well than being overwhelmed with lots of choice and the quality is poor. I had the pie of the day and it was delicious. The mash potato was "real" too! Ice cream for pudding. Service was excellent with really friendly and helpful staff. 👍

Staff were very friendly and accommodating even though we turned up right at last orders for Sunday lunch. Portion sizes were huge, both the beef and pork were excellent. Best Sunday lunch in a long time.

A very pleasant country pub tucked out of the way. Service was prompt, Food was tasty, well cooked and nicely presented. The only issue was inconsistent portion control. The lamb main meal ( i think it was on the menu as lamb shank, but not 100% sure) consisted of 2 small (5cm round x 1cm deep) medallions of lamb, the equivalent of 1 medium potato sliced and sautéed, 2 small carrots and a small spoon swipe of crushed peas. My wife had the sea bass, which had a generous sized fish portion, broccoli and 4 medium size whole potato's, too much for her to finish. The lamb portion did not justify its cost.

Friendly bar staff and good value steak, on steak night. We don't go out often but enjoyed our visit as a family.
