White Horse

Very disappointing after reading all the lovely reviews. Went there for Sunday lunch and ordered a roast dinner. We had to wait for more then 40 min for it to arrive and it only arrived after we asked where it was. Poor considering it would have been pre prepared and just needed dishing up.
When the food arrived it looked like it had been standing in a warmer for a bit as the mashed potatoes were not edible, the Turkey was very dry and the gravy was so overpowering you could not taste the rest of the food. We tried The White Horse as we were going to book for a party of 14 but now we need to find somewhere else.

Had a really good bar meal, nice that we could take my sister in law's three little dogs in and kind staff brought them a bowl of water. Returned again on Sunday evening and was pleased to see the vegan options on the menu. The staff are brilliant, really helpful and friendly. Even though there didn't seem to be many of them on a busy Sunday evening.

Excellent pub/restaurant near the beach of Aberystwyth. Ordered the daily special, and for Mondays it’s the choice for fish and chips. Crispy cods and generous portion; enjoyed it with the dipping sauce. The daily special also comes with the drinks. Fast and friendly service service!

I found it horrid… the service was horrendous, and they were so rude. They got my order wrong, didn’t apologise and put an extra service charge on my bill that I didn’t even realise until after I’d paid.
I came with my family and my daughter is over the age of 16 (in fact she’s 18), had ID, and she was refused to be able to have a cider even though I was the one ordering it. Which is actually legal. After I tried talking to the manager and told her that she was legally allowed and had her ID - which was a drivers license AND real… she continued to say “whatever” and walk off. Not actually confirming whether or not I could then get anything. Overall - it was a horrid evening, and they don’t even have to excuse of it being busy! And I haven’t even gotten round to the portion size I was given! See the image I’ve attached.

We arrived about 7pm on a Friday eve and were able to get a table quite easily. Service was friendly and efficient. There was a nice relaxed atmosphere and we noticed that many family tables were able to bring their well behaved dogs in too. The food was delivered fairly quickly and was well presented. We had a lasagne with salad and a chicken & bacon salad. Portions were very generous and both meals were very nice and good value for money. We have eaten here before and would definitely go back again.

Been here a few times for drinks and a breakfast. Great for watching sports, which is the main reason for us going, good choice of drinks and very good prices. Breakfast was good, but not our choice of food from the main menu. But good if you like, burgers, quick food etc. Then it will suit you. DJ's on certain nights, but the music played is good. Always a different variety of people in there, which makes it a good atmosphere day and night. Lots of space and seats available.

Fantastic Sunday roast for the price. Hot and tasty.
Didn't come with the stuffing though it was advertised and sounded lovely. Staff very busy so didn't want to bother them. Lots of fresh veg which I love. Will definitely be returning.

Excellent pub with a good menu even a choice for vegans wich is good theses day as my daughters are vegan tho they were not with us on this visit.
Lovely clean pub good service and they were cleaning tables as people left. Only thing toilets are up stairs not sure if they have a lift or not but I didn't ask anyone put I managed OK.
Will definitely recommend and have a return visit soon.
