This is a local pub.so dont expect the ritz but i was plesantly suprised when i saw the room. it was a nicely decorated room with fridge and tea and coffee facilities. the shower wasnt very good and funny noises coming from toilet and shower when run. A lovely 1st floor terrace area especially for guests only. The breakfast was ok.would of been nice if we were asked what we wanted with our fry up isntead of just served, however had good fill and we enjoyed our stay. unfortunately we were not away food was only served until 7pm and had to get a takeaway. If you dont like dogs i would say this is not the place for you as the owner had 2 large dogs that roam around and dont seem to like strangers. Although I would stay here again. All staff were very helpful and nice.

Great atmosphere, fantastic pub grub, and a beautifully stocked bar. Mine host and all staff are brilliant. Nothing is too much trouble. Great music usually from live bands at the weekend.

It's been a while, but the food is Sooooo good. Real home cooking at its best. Sunday roast is a must! Forget the plastic chain eateries. Can't beat real home cooked food!!! Thank you for the lovely roast we had today. We'll be back soon. Xxx

A warm welcome. Visiting from Liverpool for a local wedding and needed to find somewhere to watch the Champions League final. Rang and was told that my dog and I would be welcome. In the end I didn't have the dog with me but it was a great atmosphere for the match. The people were loud and friendly, half red, half white supporters. A good range of beers and the staff were amazing at getting the pints out and the empties in. Thanks to all concerned and to Eric for allowing me to share his table.

Very helpful and freindly staff who put themselves out for us even though we were strangers also nice food and beer at reasonable prices.
