Great for a couple of nights , edge of dartmoor, i had no view but i understand the otherside of corridor had lovely views, above a pub, great cider, food not great but think they were short staffed and very busy, i had fish and chips but was from frozen, no breakfast available which i was told as i checked in, which was no problem. Room was very spacious and pretty clean, shower was fine but certainly not a power shower, tea and coffee in room, bed pretty comfy, i was facing the front road which isn't busy but was woken very very early by tesco metro delivery across the road, town is small but great amenities. It was ok and i would be ok staying again. Staff and locals in the pub are friendly.

Only dropped in for a quick lunch. Friendly staff, varied and well priced menu. The mixed pepper ciabatta was very tasty, well presented with an excellent salad and good value. Service was quick. It's right in the centre of Bovey so ideal. Will happily return

Most uncomfortable beds i have slept in when not camping - basically a 3 inch futon on plywood. Great people behind the bar. However, no food was available when we were there.

Overall pretty good but bed mattress could do with a serious upgrade along with the shower but staff were excellent and the location was lovely.

Booked a stay on the 23rd of October had next to no sleep due to an alarm constantly going off throughout the night the manager tried to tell me it was a house alarm near by however this was NOT the case as the staff had been out twice to turn the alarm off during the evening. The manager on the phone had informed me that she had reported the issue of the security alarm and someone was coming out to fix this and then made me out to be lying about the issue after already slipping up on this. I tried to contact the reception during the night however had no responce I have proof of this however the manager didn't even give me the chance to show this. The manager said she had contacted the elderly guy in the room next door and he had said he heard nothing this was clearly not true as he also wouldve confirmed the alarm was going off. All other staff members were so lovely however The manager chanel was EXTREMELY rude to me on the phone Chanel has a serious attitude problem and no customer service skills what so ever. I'm extremely shocked at the way I've been spoken to and will be taking this matter further.

This pub used to be very good but not now it's a pity in such a good part of the town.

Lovely meal, don't like cauliflower cheese though, not everyone's choice, they had Pork or Beef, asked for the beef to be well done, and it was, asked for more gravy, no problems, lovey place, staff very nice, yes we would go there again.
