Had an amazing lunch with a group of 18 people. Food was fantastic
I had the seafood salad off the special menu. Delicious, crab, mussels, prawns, wells, Rollmops, smoke salmon. Salad, potatoes samphire. Great value, very generous portions. Good speedy service and friendly staff. Highly recommend

I had lunch here last weekend for my girlfriends birthday and it was so good! The service was really fast, the food and drinks came to the table pretty quickly. Staff were friendly and the food was awesome.

The light snacks for lunch were easily big enough to fill us both up. The Pastrami, Melted Swiss Cheese and Sauerkraut Baguette was lovely and you get a pleasant portion of fries to go with it which were also pretty good. I'm not a huge fan of pickled onion but it actually worked on the Baguette and the coleslaw was some of the best coleslaw I've had in a while.

My partner had the Sticky Sweet Chilli Marinated Beef which was, honestly, even better. Delicious, great texture and pretty spicy which is perfect and the wrap is hefty, so no complaints at all.

Overall one of the nicest lunches out I've had in a while and easily worth the money. 🔥

6 adults, 7 kids and a baby turned up for lunch at midday amidst a busy august lunchtime. We hadn’t booked yet The manager met us with a beaming smile and nothing was too much trouble. They found us a great table and took our orders without any hint of annoyance (despite our small people’s indecision!) all staff were exceptionally helpful from start to finish.. and not in the I’m fishing for a tip way but genuinely helpful. Food arrived quickly and was fresh, generously portioned and delicious. I can’t believe I actually enjoyed a group lunch out with kids! I can’t rate this more highly. Thank you so much!

Arrived without booking and were accommodated immediately. Service and meals could not be faulted. A great selection of food on offer, very speedily brought to the table. Make sure you go in hungry as I doubt many people manage to finish their meal!
Will absolutely return, well done all

Quite nice atmosphere but appalling food. If the portions are big, the quality is bad. One of the worst meal I ever had. And expensive too.
I had skate but it was burnt on the top side, tasteless. The vegetables were not cooked. No flavour. No style in the presentation. Just a big blob of food. And what my husband and parents in law ordered was of the same level. Big portions but either burned or like a mass of gooey stuff.
A good advise, avoid this place!

Stopped for Sunday lunch after a ride on the Marriots way.
Food was beautiful and freshly made, portions are massive.
It was really busy and they fitted us in with no trouble. Great service and friendly staff.

We only had food and drink but it was very good, especially the steak and ale suet crust pudding which 2 of us had. That was the nicest suet pastry I have had it was light not stodgy and the meat filling was tender, tasty and moist my friend agreed, don’t change a thing. Everyone else also enjoyed their meals the portion size was good. We sat outside in the marquee which had heaters as we had a dog and the bar was busy. The staff were all really friendly and helpful, it was a nice Tuesday lunch . The prices weren’t cheap, £17 average but in the present climate you can’t expect to pay a fiver for a decent lunch. We didn’t have deserts as we were full.We will be returning and I would recommend it to anyone especially if you like steak and ale suet crust pudding .

Went for our Christmas bash, just eating from the normal menu. I was not disappointed with the food, big portions and top quality. The waiting staff were polite and attentive, no mean feat considering the place was packed. I would definitely recommend eating there, priced at about mid range for pub food but definitely above standard for quality and quantity. I came away feeling very satisfied.
