Gorgeous setting, delightful staff and delicious (but fairly priced) local food. Children's menu was perfect, but my two shared an adult pizza and adult dessert which they loved! Steak was 'melt in your mouth' perfection and the salad was fresh and interesting. I loved the selection of non alcoholic drinks available, so refreshing to have a choice of Mocktails and 0% beer! We look forward to returning soon! Thank you x

Where do I start!?
Staff was friendly but ... Too relaxed, to a point that every single one of them was chewing, eating or drinking in front of the customers.
The best part was when I found a hair ... Right at the edge of the plate! Nothing really happened... Totally indifferent, hosts just replaced the dish, no comment made and we paid full price.
Mr. Crossley needs to pay attention to this business!

The Swan excels as both a dining experience and a small, well-run hotel. It’s the only game in the tiny village of Ascott-under-Wychwood, yet there’s not a trace of complacency about it. We stayed for two nights as a base to explore the surrounding Cotswolds. We liked the kitchen’s creativity and freshness so much that we ended up having two dinners — whole grilled seabass, cheese soufflé, thick juicy pork chop and garden-fresh salads were highlights— and a sumptuous Sunday roast lunch of beef and leg of lamb. Even the continental breakfast was superb, with an exhaustive choice of jams and the airiest croissants this side of the English Channel. We had a room in the smartly renovated attic, well away from any pub noise, though climbing into and out of the bathtub/shower required all the nimbleness we could muster. The hotel and dining room staff exude friendliness, competence and attention to detail. Highly recommended.

One of our favourite pubs to go to. The setting is lovely but the service is extra lovely. Paige was great and really helpful recommending delicious things to try on the menu. Thiago was so sweet and was especially lovely with our baby. Such a brilliant experience and the pizzas were out of this world!

Very quiet backwater pub. We stopped off for drinks on our travels and staff were super helpful as though we were dining on a three cour meal. Nice spacious outdoor space. Special pizza oven

Had a stunning Cotswold's mini-break with my girlfriend and the Swan came highly recommended. Very pleased to say we weren't disappointed, we were greeted with perhaps the best roast I've ever had in a pub, stunning wine selection and excellent service which would be a theme throughout our stay. Special thanks to Berty, Thiago, Jamie and Chris for their fabulous hospitality, we very much look forward to returning.

Lovely ambience in this pub. An attractive outside paired with a traditional looking interior with a nice bar area with log fires. Very clean and nicely decorated bedrooms with high quality furniture and fittings. I absolutely loved the Hooky beer, it was fabulous. Wine was also very good according to my wife. We had dinner there with my daughter and her boyfriend on Saturday evening. The food was very good and overall the service was great (although our pudding order somehow didn’t get to the kitchen and we had to wait quite a while). Staff were very friendly and attentive. The only downside we felt was the fact that the whole venue was rather cold. The bar, the dining room, the bedroom - they were all a little on the cold side. We think that with a little more attention to the log fires, the temperature would have been more comfortable.
Overall, we thought the value for money was very good and we’d definitely stay there again, or at least call in for the beer and food when in the area!
