The Gate Inn

This pub is well worth a visit. Dai and Rose are working hard on renovations but still find time for you. You will be given a warm friendly welcome to enjoy good beer and great homemade food. In the time we were there we can honestly say we never left hungry, thank you Rose.

Nice pleasant lady served us good sandwiches and chips. Very dilapidated pub. Curtains tied back with rubber bands. Never seen that before 😃. Needed a very big re-vamp, but like I say, nice lunch.

Very Friendly owners and very accomodating, a very quiet pub but the food was lovely mostly all home cooked by the Landlady.

Lovely reception and even though chef “Rosie” had a Bardy leg. Bad leg to most. She still cooked us an awesome meal and her other half was the host with the most. Thank you both x

Quite possibly the most welcoming owners I've ever come across.

Nothing was too much trouble and the owner was great with our child. All the food was excellent, the home cooked chips were particularly tasty.

Good choice of ales and a lovely evening.

The good reviews are warranted: great owners, a warm welcome, no nonsense. Unpretentious, classic pub grub. It really is what you’d call a hidden gem. The local Double Dragon beer comes highly recommended.

Excellent family run pub with good food and beer, very welcoming even if we dared to mention toasting Welsh cakes. Dog friendly as well what more could you want

Don't judge a book by it's cover. This is a proper pub serving really great food with a very welcoming and friendly husband and wife team. We had a great evening here.
