The management is A DISGRACE. They dishonour all the good work the gym couches do and are undertrained and sometimes even rude to the costumers. If you want to complain don't use the cards they provide, I don't think anybody reads them. Never received an answer from the office. That's why I'm posting here. But I don't think they are interested about what the costumers think.
The changing rooms constantly smell, the showers are awful and only have a curtain on 2 of them. I’ve never used the pool but it seems quite small, potentially good for children but no adult will get much use out of it.
I would move to a new gym straight away but the only other real option is a Virgin active which is just as small and expensive.
The whole place needs a remodel.
Would also be good if they had membership options that didn’t include the pool as I imagine this is the reason for such a high cost.
The staff and PTs are friendly, the place is always clean and never found it to be too crowded. Great experience so far!
First of all, I arrive two hours before closing to be told that they're winding up for the day. Okay, I think, but I can take a quick swim.
I go for a swim - pool is small and not super clean. Afterwards I pop into the even less clean steam room. Not great but not terrible so far.
After the steam room, I go to grab my towel, which has my locker key rolled up in it - the towel has vanished. There are no staff to be found, so I have to traipse through the gym, dripping wet, in a swimming costume. I find a woman at the desk and ask her for help. She asks me which locker was mine, and I say I'm not sure, but it's one of three immediately next to each other. She says that it's impossible that I don't know, as lockers are assigned and recorded on the computer. I point out that they can't be recorded on the computer - you choose your locker *after* you sign in. She argues with me for five minutes. She then grabs one key and takes me back to the changing room - sod's law, it's the wrong locker.
Things go downhill very quickly from here: instead of leaving me in the changing room to grab the other two keys, she drags me back *through the gym* full of people working out (still wet, now freezing) and grabs one other key. We repeat, again it doesn't work. At this point, she takes me back to the front desk, throws a tantrum, and then *leaves me there* to go and find another member of staff. I stand there, freezing cold, for ten full minutes. Finally a manager comes out, grabs the third key and lets me into my locker.
Obviously, I am never returning to this gym, but I hope someone reads this and avoids a similar fate!
If you think that only gov deploy random rules, go at the Nuffield Health, the will do it better.
Never again
