Recently had machines updated which are good. However I have removed some machine and left big empty floor space with no real indication what this area is for. Cleaning of facilities is not amazing particularly during busy periods. Some users are really unclean especially when the families are around. I tend to avoid this time of days and the site feels very unkept.
That said on a whole it's a nice gym good classes & facilities available

I have to share my opinion about the club because what's going on there is a joke. 6 years ago I joined the club, for 4 years the club was perfect. Unfortunately for two years the club looks worse and worse every week, the service is very low. The gym is dirty. there is always something broken at the pool. the water is dirty. children run everywhere like in kindergarten. there is mold in the showers. gym equipment is weak, everything is scattered. restaurant service at mcdonalds level. no one replies to the complaints lodged. You can never get through to the reception desk. no words. after 6 years he resigns and joins another gym because nothing will change here, probably for the worse !!!

I ve been a member of DL Enfield since early summer. I took a membership with my daughter to spend quality time together. As a platinum member I receive a guest pass a month. I thought it would be great to bring my son to swim with us every month. However I could not use my pass throughout summer as the club was closed for non members. My passes therefore expired. I would understand if the club would not allow paying non members to come during busy time but not allowing me to use a guest pass given by the club is not right as I took the membership on promise that I could bring one guest a month. The outdoor pool was also closed for children for many days during early summer period which I find very disappointing since my daughter is a full member of the club. I was told by a manager that this is due to shortage of staff but I am aware from other members that it's been like that for years now. I find the reception staff not very polite especially if you raise any concers/complaints. The classes are often booked out particularly tennis beginners as there is only one session a week.

I have been a member at David Lloyd for years (on and off). This Club has first class facilities, very clean and has lovely ,friendly and well qualified Staff. The food in the Restaurant is very good. It was a grate place to bring my Children when they were smaller (particularly on rainy days). My daughter learned to swim at DL (with Verity) and it has, sometimes, provided me wit a change of scenery and good wifi , to work on my laptop. I would highly recommend it.

Nice club with nice spa and heated outdoor pool. However, soft play area let's it down as bits broken and risky for little ones.We and other parents have reported the damaged areas. Menu good, healthy, tasty and varied but lack of service staff make lunch so slow and dirty tables being left. Great emergency response team, my granddaughter pulled the red cord in the toilet by accident and the team were there in 1 minute with medical kit and defibrillator, great job! We pay a lot per month so a few more serving staff and updates to the play area would up the stars

I spent the day at the David Lloyds in Enfield as a guest with my friend I was very impressed with service, especially from a young man called Gabriel. He was very respectful, polite and checked up on us, excellent example of great customer service!

I went from paying roughly 100 to 133 with no notice. They have increased the price due to inflation up to 33%. So ridiculous and terrible approach to customer service. I cancelled straight away and requested all monies back as you have a legal right. I hope they are ashamed for the pressure they are pushing to the people. At that price there are much better gyms around the area. I hope better management comes in to take this gym and make it good again.

RESPONSE TO NEW REPLY:
You push the pressure down to customers?
33% increase within a month.... that is not trying enough. I could have understand keeping up with inflation but 33% is a joke and unacceptable. We cancelled both memberships we had in the house hold. We will find another gym that is more suitable financially and still be a "leading leisure brand offering members a chance to live a better life with focus on physical and mental wellbeing". Thanks for your reply regardless.

Club used to close at 11.00 pm mid week 10.00 pm weekends which suited me perfectly as I often don’t get back from work until late.
Changed the closing time midweek to 10.00 pm “due to the pandemic!” 🙄
I’ve asked more times than I care to recall ‘ when are you going to re-instate original times?!!?’ Impossible to get a straight answer and suspect the cost saving is now too attractive for DLC.
But hasn’t this fundamentally changed the terms of my agreement??.. Time to revisit the alternatives I previously discounted as they closed too early I think.

UPDATE 29.11.22

Response from David Lloyd..

“Our Enfield Club have confirmed that the General Manager is in contact with you to offer support”

Errrm… No he isn’t! 🤷🏼‍♂️

Business as usual! 🙄

10th January 2023 Still no response 🤷🏼‍♂️… Says it all really!
