Riverside Cardiff Leisure Club

Friendly leisure club with plenty of kit and space, a great juice/coffee bar and lots of classes of for all levels/abilities.

Recently joined here and I have to say, it's an ok gym, equipment is a bit dated but essentially works!! Best things are the sauna, steam and ice rooms. They also have a ladies only area which is perfect for those that aren't so confident or just like working out in a more quiet area. Changing rooms are huge and even have a tv in there, plenty of showers, hair driers and plug sockets for straighteners etc. It has to be the only gym that has 6 tv screens that you can put your headphones into whilst working out on the treadmils, bikes, cross trainer etc, plus they play all the best old school music.

Good Gym furnished with amazing equipment. Friendly Staff. Awful I mean absolutely horrible playlist... don't go without headphones otherwise you will leave with terrible headache 😵

A hidden gem! This gym has everything you need for a great workout. Lots of friendly staff too!!

Best gym in splott, Cardiff, rhymney, CF24

This gym is excellent, has more machinery you know what to do with (but with friendly staff who are more than happy to demonstrate etc.), loose weights, a functional fitness area, studio and classes (which unfortunately never got round to attending due to relocating). The changing facilities are smart, too.
I would really recommend Riverside to someone looking to join a gym.

It’s a lovely gym that not many people know about. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone that asked. The staff and the manager are all lovely and the gym itself is very well stocked with your choice of machinery and weights. For me, the main selling point however is the female only section, not many gyms offer that and for that reason - 5 stars.
