St Michael and All Angels Church

This idiosyncratic Grade II Listed church mostly attributed to Norman Shaw dates from the late 1880’s. Challenging established conventions and expectations with an eclectic design that even now impresses with its undaunted and bold innovation.

A place of outstanding architectural beauty. A fascinating church with an unusual white exterior balcony facing a number of buildings that are very easy on the eye.

A simple but very welcoming Catholic church. I’ve never attended any ceremony but I attend several times to pray and meet God. The church is close to the Turnham Green underground station.

I went there to hear a reading from two authors at the Chiswick Book Festival. It was something I was particularly looking forward to, since I know both the authors.
I arrived a few minutes before the start and had to sit in the very back row.
Although it appeared, from the audience reaction, that those towards the front could hear the talk, those of us at the back could make out about one word in five, the echoing acoustics were so awful!
It was a real shame.

I was here for the chiswick book festival which is a wonderful event and an opportunity to see some different venus

Went for a lunch organ recital. Quite nice.

A beautiful church just right beside the Turnham Green Station and a nice park. It was a nice first visit in Chiswick.
