Arvonia Vets

Arvonia is one of the best practices that you can find. They are independent and they really care for your animal. The staff is very nice and responsible, reception is lovely, and they are very quick attending the phone. The nurses are super nice, and they treated my cat (Ariel) in a very lovely way with the post op check after the neutering.
Manager team has been brilliant doing all the claims for my insurance.
Of course, the vets are amazing and very knowledgeable, when my cat had a problem, they immediately wanted to investigate what was happening to her, I can tell they are really passionate about their job.
As an owner, all you want is to have your animal cared for. All the team did all of this, and Ariel (my cat) was clearly happy with them.

We were originally at another local vets, but moved to Arvonia, due to it being an independent practice.
We have always had great service. Appointments never feel rushed, the vets have always shown great care and interest in our pets and the reception staff are always friendly and helpful.

Arvonia vets are an independent veterinary practice. They care, are kind, always professional. They take their time with you and listen, its not a quick rush in rush out like many "business" run practices. Richard is an incredible vet surgically, and compassionate when those sad days arrive that we all know will come, always treating our pets with dignity, and the humans with kindness. We have been with Arvonia for 30 years now with several of our beloved dogs and wouldn't consider going anywhere else. I'd give more stars but only 5 available.

All of the staff at Arvonia are very friendly and welcoming, but Arvonia failed to fully cure our puppy so we have moved vets.

We felt they didn't take our case as seriously as they should have. Failing to call us back when they said they would, failing to tell us about repeat doses of medicine and a fecal test taking more than a month to return the results are a few examples. I was once almost guaranteed by one of the vets that my dog was now cured and to call Arvonia back at 7pm to "give us the good news", when the dog almost instantly relapsed into her previous lethargic and unwell state I couldn’t bring myself to give them any news but just stayed at home and cried holding my dog instead.

The worst account was when we purchased a service through Arvonia which they failed to provide to us, this has really screwed us over. When I contacted the directors for an explanation, they decided not to respond but got the lady who messed up to respond - she lied to me twice to cover her own tracks and claim no wrongdoing. Of course, when called out the directors again were silent, so they don’t take responsibility for their mistakes.

We once tried to support our local vet by purchasing Pro Kolin through them, it was £24 for 30ml, the same product and amount (30ml) can be purchased at pets at home for £13.50, almost half the price. They even charged us for a phone call that was basically "we don’t know what to do so we are not going to do anything".

Always superb, friendly service here. We have two extremely well-looked-after cats.

What a fantastic experience we had at Arvonia vets. Both Richard and Pablo worked tirelessly to save our cat Tilly. She had a complication that both vets had never seen in an animal before which had nearly caused Tilly’s demise. Richard and Pablo operated on her, saving her life, which means she will hopefully enjoy a few more years with us. I would thoroughly recommend Arvonia Veterinary Practice and can’t thank Richard and Pablo enough for their kind and professional expert care of Tilly!
