Wessex Antique Bedsteads

Would not use them again. Delivery promises not kept. We waited months with no communications. The owner could only tell us what she could NOT do but never what they could do. Messages then taken only prompted returned calls over a week later. Finally, we had the phone put down when we called and insisted to have a delivery date and time. We then felt that we were forced in to a position where we could not trust this company any more and had to cancel the order.

Great place to find a true unique. Very looked after by Jeremy who takes the time to understand what you're looking for before taking you to see the Aladdins caves of antiques. Will definitely be going back!

What a wonderful team of lovely people @ Wessex Bedsteads. They have 3 barns stacked full of incredible quality antique beds, bedsteads, and varied furniture all of an exceptionally high standard. They are a lot more than beds and are high integrity nice people. We are thrilled with the 10+ items they helped us acquire. The quality of their brass beds and the bases and mattresses is so far in excess of other places.

Bought some (non bed) bits, some of which turned out to be broken. Was promised replacements & arranged to meet at Parret Works but nobody turned up & no response after several phone calls. Shame, as the initial impression was positive, but I really cannot recommend.

Wessex Antique Bedsteads is a real hidden gem, located near Martock in South Somerset.
The choice of beds (& other furniture) is phenomenal. The ‘store’ at Parrett Works has to be seen to be believed. Over 1,000 antique frames.
Once you have decided on your bed, it is then refurbished, painted, restored to the highest quality to any colour of your choice.
The service itself is far from ‘pushy’, instead you will find a genuine west country business where nothing is too much trouble.
The mattresses are also the best we have ever slept on and worth every penny. We have purchased two beds from Wessex Antique Bedsteads and have been really pleased with both. I don’t often write reviews but in this instance I cannot recommend Wessex Bedsteads highly enough.
