Capital Repairs

Absolutely awful! The customer service was possibly the worst I have ever experienced. Capital Repairs came to fix our oven 8 weeks ago, and diagnosed that we needed some parts to be replaced. We were assured that these would be fitted within 5 days and paid for the parts up front. 7 weeks later we still had no working oven, despite calling almost every day for an update! We were continually passed around employees with no one actually taking any responsibility to resolve the issue. Each phone call ended with the promise of them ‘following up with the supplier’ and that they would ‘get back to us shortly’… this of course never happened. I would never usually leave reviews like this but this service was too bad to ignore!

Great service from Capital Repairs and the engineer Charlie.
Our Elica cooker hood had a fault which was diagnosed and now fixed.
It took 3 visits in all, one to diagnose, one attempt to replace the faulty part, but this created another issue which was then finally fixed with another visit and replacement part.
No extra charge for the additional labour, just the replacement parts.
The engineer Charlie was tidy and polite and talked through exactly what needed replacing.

Capital Scam company!
Be aware!
They will book an appointment of £80 plus to tell you that it’s not worth to repair your cooker but new from them. And if you insist to get it repaired they say parts will arrive in 2 to 3 working days. You do payments of parts in advance after which you will be calling them for months and they will
Make excuses and if you cancel the repair they will do deductions from your payments of parts and refund you little.so you lost call out charges deduction in parts payments and will have to buy new one.
And when someone like me leave a real experience review(you can see many) they manage to get 2 or 3 fake positive reviews to misguide people.
Please don’t waste your money they are scam.

Well where can I start with Capital Repairs?
All I will advise is USE AT YOUR OWN RISK.

I will not bore everyone who has chance to read this review with what happened to me as to be honest most of the concerns are highlighted in reviews already on here.

I will give a few pointers though:
- Please read that invoice the repair engineer attends with before signing as apparently your signing away your 14days wavier.
- Always pay by credit card if possible and insist that you want your 14 days wavier.
- Ask for another quote else where as I can assure you, you will be able to find a cheaper quote especially when it comes to the price of the parts of the repairs they quote you.

Hopefully this can help one two people make an informed decision.

I wish I had known about Capital Repairs sooner. The highly skilled and very knowledgeable engineers here can save your product from the scrap heap.

My Dualit toaster has been returned better than new, with more efficient parts than when originally purchased. All parts are genuine, purchased directly from the manufacturer.

And the price of the repair was a fraction of the cost of a replacement toaster - in addition to saving raw materials etc.

I needed to replace an old integrated fridge freezer. Franco helped me identify the appropriate size; provided excellent advice about my options; and helped me choose a Bosch. He was helpful throughout and timely in his correspondence. The installation team did a great job in my absence. There was a little hiccup - not the fault of Capital Repairs - which was addressed swiftly by Franco. Excellent service from beginning to end.

I got an outstanding service from Capital Repairs when my microwave needed repairs. Its a 1994 model, and I certainly didnt want to spend a lot of money on a new one which is certainly not going to give me the same long service this one has.
Being so old, no spares could be located, and the repair engineer Dave , in his enthusiasm to get it working used his ingenuity and created his own unique repair on the item... Its working again! And cross fingers for many more years!

Appalling service! With money spent on engineer's visit and a part we could have bought a new dishwasher and already started using it!
Initial call was made on 16 November, and two months later, with a new part installed, the dishwasher still showing error and can't be used - and today's visit is re-booked for another two weeks once again!!!
If anyone can find another company for repairs, I'd strongly recommend to use that instead of Capital Repairs.
