Totally unprofessional . Didn't return phone calls or emails after breakdown of boiler they had installed. Avoid at all costs!

Excellent service, can't thank them enough for pulling out all the stops to replace my elderly aunts ancient central heating boiler. Their prompt action saved her from having no heating during this really cold weather. Alistair and Lee did a great job. She's now warm and comfortable. She can't speak highly enough of Bywater and their workmen.

Got a new fire installed for my elderly mother without even having to visit the showroom. Straightforward advice given over the phone and good communication pre-installation. Diligent testing by fitter identified a flue problem that was solved at a reasonable cost. Very pleased with end result. Remote control operation is convenient and safeguarded. The friendly and informal staff create a feeling of trust. Great service.

I found Bywaters to stock a number of brands of stove both wood burning and dual fuel. Very generous with their time to explain the differences and happy to demonstrate the stoves in operation. After a survey, we decided to order a stove for installation and as the world has gone mad the lead time was extended. Nevertheless after a couple of phone calls to chase the installation, a date was offered inline with their original stated lead time. The lads were hard working, arrived as promised and took care to cover the lounge and furniture with plenty of drop sheets.
It took two days to install the stove and it was demonstrated clearly before leaving and the carbon monoxide detector installed. Certain decisions were taken without consultation which was disappointing, I am not a person to hover but I expect a little more discussion.
That said there were certain expectation based on my assumptions from seeing other peoples wood burner installations.
My expectation was that the inglenook would be boarded therefore providing a smooth, contemporary finish. However they opt to plaster the inside which leaves a terrible finish without straight edges. This can be seen in a photo in a review left earlier. You will also notice the cracks in the photograph which I have suffered from both inside and above the fire. Both of which require remedial work and after being charged what I deem to be a significant amount of money I was very disappointed with the finish and i question why the quote was so expensive. Final thing to add, it was recommended to paint the inside of the inglenook. This really does highlight the state of the plastered finish and we now have no option but to either overboard the entire fireplace or use brick slips internally. I would suggest a company that chooses to use fire board would be a better option but I would certainly do more research rather than relying on the installer.
