Karuna Manor Care Home

This place is more like an upscale hotel with carers than a care home. It is impeccably decorated, each patient room has an en suite with well thought out shower with all necessary supports. The beds are comfy, the food is delicious, there's a good ratio of staff to residents, the layout is well designed, and it's very friendly. The place even has a cinema, a small shop, and a beauty salon on the premises, as well as a lovely garden with fish pond. The residents seem healthy and well cared for and the management have been excellent with addressing any needs.

What can I say- no words to describe Karuna Manor. It's the best care home or home away from home. Very clean,inviting and meticulous. Staff is very engaging, helpful and caring.
Food delicious,outstanding.

Karuna Manor recently celebrated Diwali at the care home and it was truly an outstanding event for not only the residents but also for their families. The event was organised really well and there was entertainment for everyone. Each and every member of staff from the management team to all the carers went out of their way to make it special for especially the residents.

My Dad spent his last 6 days in the care of everyone at Karuna Manor this Sept. I found all the staff (Priests, Nurses, Carers, Entertainment, Housekeeping, Kitchen, Laundry, Maintenance, Reception, Admin, Finance) to be friendly, caring and supportive. The hygiene and cleanliness standards are high - which is vital during Covid. Residents are offered a variety of activities in groups and in their own rooms. The East African and Indian culture is respected and the onsite temple with its resident priests is the central communal hub. The vegetarian food is amazing. The manager Ruth leads by example and is hands on and sets the correct tone at the top. Karuna Manor is nicely decorated with lovely gardens but the real asset are the staff and volunteers whose vocation is to serve the residents.

Wonderful home with absolutely wonderful staff and people. Clean and tidy and wonderful ambience. The residents look well and happy. Sharing some time with everyone there was beautiful. Highly recommended place for anyone who needs the care.

From the outside this place might look professional and elegant, but how they treat their staff is appalling, I happened to overhear a conversation between a manager and a member of staff, and how the manager just went in on this poor member of staff, it was brutal. I don't think I'll recommend this place to anyone.

Karuna is lovely place to work. Very beautiful home. Good staff, working together as a team.

The staff are very dedicated and loving. Excellent service provided to the residents. During my visit at the care home, I could see that the residents are happy . The property is well maintained with all the facilities needed.
