Fantastic service from Paul and the team at Bannings. Installed a new Kenwood DAB radio for me and I'm very, very pleased with the quality of the install and the stereo itself.

Needed a new Sigma alarm key fob for my Mitsubishi Warrior. The service was very prompt following my arrival at their shop. They not only supplied the fob at a very competitive price, they reprogrammed it and reset the master code on the unit as I had forgotten the number. Paul and the team are first class!! Highly recommended if you want great service.

Helpful, knowledgeable, reasonable. The fact that Bannings have been around since I was a lad in Guildford tells you most of what you need to know. From simple hiding charger cables to bigger stuff the service is the same. Recommended

Been there with a small problem for a audio specialist,£100/h labour(after the work starts),you can't stay inside to see what's happening and wasn't shown the broken/blown speaker after replacing it, after 2 weeks brand new speaker broken again, which was supposed to be better than original ones. Not going in there ever again.

I wanted witness cameras fitted to my car, front and rear, and decided to go to Ian Bannings, Guildford, because they have such an excellent reputation, especially in Surrey. I was so impressed with the service, that I decided to have the radio upgraded to DABS at the same time. I decided on a Kenwood system that also included an enhanced Sat Nav system as well. I am delighted with the result. I was extremely impressed with the care and attention that the Bannings staff took to ensure that I got exactly the right system for my needs and that I understood how to maximise the benefits that the systems offer. In my opinion, they thoroughly deserve their excellent reputation for quality and service.

When I walked in no one was in the shop when I eventually got someone's attention, the lady looked at me as if i was not welcome, I got told to wait 10 minutes as staff were busy and when eventually i did get served the chap wandered off to help someone else in the middle of serving me.
One of the items was a 30 amp fuse holder which didn't take the 8 swg power cable I also purchased at the same time. I was told that i have to remove some of the stands to get it in the small hole of the connector, what's the point in buying 8 swg cable if your going to reduce the cross section by half to get it in the hole that's the bit that will get hot and potentially cause a fire.
When I asked for spade connectors was told just to split the cable in two and insert under the binding posts OK at the amp end but not very tidy when you had to ground on the body of the car or connect to the battery (again if i had an installation done by them like this it would have gone straight back), I had to purchase the correct connectors from ebay.
Lot of a bodge in my opinion.
Service not good, not attentive at all, terrible advice and sold me products that didn't do the job.

Avoid at all costs!
I honestly feel like this company took advantage of me as I am a woman.
I have delayed writing a review as I was hoping I would have a resolution from Bannings.
I have a Mercedes Sprinter van and I was looking to get the speed restricter removed. I phoned Bannings and asked for a quote, I was told to ‘bring it in’ so they could take a look.
My dad delivered it to them and he mentioned the back doors didn’t open.
At no point did Bannings ring me and let me know what work they were going to do and how much it would cost.
When my dad went to pick it up they lumped HIM with a bill of £170 knowing full well that I owned the van and therefore the bill was for me to pay. I did not agree for any work to be done and they claimed they spent two hours trying to discover if they could remove the restricter. I actually had another guy come to look at it after and it took him under 10 minutes to realise he was unable to remove it - and he charged me nothing for his trouble! Brannings did release the back doors but this was an incredibly straightforward job I could have done myself.
£170 pounds for literally nothing. After a few weeks chasing I was offered a discount of one hour labour for them to install a reversing camera (quoted at £360) I made it clear I didn’t want them to do any further work on the van as the prices are extortionate.
I asked Paul to ask his MD to ring me personally and alas, I heard nothing. I have left two messages with no response.
This company used my naivety against me, did not quote and then carried out work without my consent. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Dash Cam installed end of September 2020, started having intermittent faults since February. At first assumed it was below freezing temperatures we were experiencing that it didn't like! Called last week with no answer, emailed and no reply, so emailed Nissan who told me Ian Bannings have gone bust. Not impressed.
