Drove hour and half to drop my ecu off to be fixed had to pickup the next day when it was so called fixed drive another 1 hour and half to collect it fitted to car exactly the same charged me £50 to basically tell me try if it don’t work buy a new one and get it cloned absolute p***take

I had some serious issues with my bmw series 1 120d ecu and shorted wires.. Ecutech managed to clone my ecu with no problems at all after being told it was impossible by another local ecu professional!.. From the moment I pulled my ECU from a puddle of water under the windscreen after complete electrical failure, I never imagined that the process to get the car working again could be so straight forward. Ecutech bench tested my ECU and gave very honest advice. It was going to be cheaper for me to get a good second hand ECU and Clone my original, due to the damage the water had done. I was kept up to date through the whole process, with messages and photographs.
I collected the cloned ECU this afternoon, and after testing the resistance of the injectors (more good advice they gave me!)I connected the said part. The relief as the engine jumped into life.
