Came to pick up 2 bikes for kids, at allotted booking time, staff coUld not be less interested. Initially told their was an error with booking. When I asked “ are you telling me the bikes are not here?” Employee wandered off into back room and returned with two bikes.No effort to adjust bikes to fit kids until I asked if saddles could be lowered. Employee then started poking at seat bolts with a spanner while I looked on incredulous. He then asked another staff member for another spanner who told him he needed an Allen key. Other staff then did it themselves. No discussion with kids, no effort to explain how to use gears etc. while I was buying mudguards my son, did a 3 point check on the bike and identified the stem had not been tightened! Handle bars swung loose from wheel - potential fatal accident waiting to happen! I did not make a big fuss in the shop in front of kids as wanted them to remain excited about their birthday presents and could not give suggestion of them being shoddy.
Having got the bikes home now, I have tested them myself, brakes are not adjusted, levers pull all the way back to handles, gears poorly set, chain not lubricated. Absolutely shocking, don’t bother with build. Will review quality of bike in another post later when inspected in daylight.

Walked in and was quickly greeted by a lovey female member of staff who listened to my needs, found the item and got a helpful man to fix it in the car all in less than 10mins and for a great price!
Professional, efficient and friendly and I am a very happy customer!

Hayes Halfords have been excellent in dealing with errors made at a different branch. The tried to initially help with a bike i bought for my son, assisted in raising the matter and doing a return of the faulty bike and replacing it with a new one. Very helpful, polite, and didn't make us feel like it was our fault. Thank you

An excellent service with Michelle today,very efficient and knowledgeable. She even went beyond helping me to sign up for the motoring club.Equally a lovely gentlemen fitted my new windscreen wipers.So impress with the service I will consider having the mot at Halfords

Really rude staff, only one lady was a bit helpful. Ordered windscreen wipers online to be fitted, had an appointment and she told me to come tomorrow as they're busy. I said I can't and I'd rather do it today as I had booked an appointment. She checked with the person and he said he'll do it. Made me wait half an hour for a booked appointment. He then tells me it's the wrong wipers despite putting my reg into the website and them matching me with the so called correct wipers. He said there's a problem with the system, how ridiculous. Told me to go and change it, I asked the price, she didn't bother telling me and told him to go fit it. I then asked price again she told me it was an extra 12 for halfords brand, I had ordered bosch, so I said I don't want them and she called him back to not change them. They didn't bother telling me he'd removed my wipers which I have no idea why he did, then called me back to get them put back on after I'd already left. Was really rude again saying you'll have to go mercedes and pay 60 to get some then. I'm not dumb, so I didn't appreciate being spoken to like that. Both staff members were extremely rude. I also had asked for de icer she said there was none and I later found some in a winter kit which she could have offered instead of a single one. Definitely wouldn't visit again, rather go an extra few miles to the next one

Ordered a bike chain and lock from the Hayes store with collection. On hour later called me, to tell me they don't have it. One hour wasted. Then I asked them to transfer the order, because their system let me buy it, as they "had" in stock. They can't do that. So they promised to call Ruislip store,and call me back in 5 mins, as they "have" two. That was half an hour ago. So I called them on the same number. Turned out, that is a call center, and to connect me to the store, they asked my personal details(???) which I refused. They connected me finally, but give up after 5 mins listening to the dumb music. Unbelievable.

Dropped my bike for silver service which l paid for and was told that l could pick it up after 3 days. Gave them 7 days and came back to find the bike in their store room not even done. I asked to see the manager, told to wait 10 minutes and after waiting was told he is downstairs and he is busy. I was handed a pump to pump my bike and be off some service. I have always bought all my bike here in Hayes but sad to say, l shall not be back it is a horrendous experience

Fantastic service from the team at Halfords Hayes this morning. Needed a headlight bulb changed. Was helped to find the right bulb by the first friendly assistant (apologies but didn't get her name) with some easy questions. Then had the build fitted by Martin who completed the job quickly and efficiently whilst providing some future advice despite having to work in horrible rainy conditions. Brilliant service from both and would recommend the centre for work done. Very happy customer. 👍👍
