Did buy Sat nav for wife's car here though. Can not fault the staff in this department that day. Fully helpful and patient.
Team are very attentive and I quickly bought the tool I wanted. I have always felt a valued customer and the team are keen to assist/ direct/ explain.
Wouldn’t mind seeing more products with Christmas looming as bought some excellent well made wooden pastimes for child/family sports a couple of years ago
Will be using Halfords more frequently as they meet many motorists needs with a superb range of psrts and fitters to do the job while you wait!
On arriving at the store coincidentally Ewan was working on the front desk and not only did he recall the order but again provided excellent customer service throughout.
The bike itself only time will tell once my boy gets his surprise on Saturday. However, based on experience of previous Carrera bikes (Cosmos 14") They last very well and are excellent quality. Also factoring in they are aluminium and therefore nice and light for young children to start out on.
In summary 10/10 for both Ewan and Halfords as a whole👍🏼👍🏼
The item was showing as 'in stock' and ready for collection an hour after ordering. This took place on Saturday evening so I was anticipating collection sometime Sunday.
Subsequently, Halfords took my money.
Sunday morning I received a phone call, that I was unable to answer.
No message was left, nor was there an explanatory text or email.
When I called back, the phone rang for several minutes before someone very obviously picked up then immediately hung up.
On the second attempt, I got through to someone who explained the item wasn't actually in stock, had been ordered and would be in store four days after ordering.
Product line and prices are fine - customer service and accuracy of stock levels are woeful.
Once inside, the floors were sticky, the mood was drab and the staff were not well kempt. After navigating the confusing, and somewhat disappointing layout of the store, I located the item I needed. Unfortunately for me, this skirmish was only just beginning. The socket was in a locked glass case. I could see it in high definition(bar the smudges and other such marks on the glass) but lest i could not touch it.
I frantically began scanning and calling out for a member of staff which i now so desperately needed, and i felt myself fill with regret for sneering at them and holding my nose when i walked past them not two minutes ago.
After what i can only describe as an eternity, a young man with hair as ginger as the Halfords logo itself appeared. I asked if he'd been branded by corporate, but he didn't smile. I'm not sure he fully understood, but i digress.
I asked him for a 36mm socket, and he paused. I could see the wheels turning behind his glassy, deceitful eyes. "what size?" he exclaimed. "36mm" I replied. His entire demeanor changed; "NO, what siiize?!" he asked in an aggressive yet smug manner. I couldn't tell if i had fallen victim to a prank that was yet to make itself clear... "36......mm" i muttered whilst looking around for sniggering employees. He sighed deliberately loud and exclaimed "what size DRIVE sir?" as though he had become impatient. "half inch?" i said with an upward inflection as this was the only drive size available. "thank you" he sarcastically remarked as he began to unlock the cabinet.
Once i had the socket in my hand, i made my way to the checkout. The girl behind the counter was very helpful, although she did wipe snot from her nose right before she took my trade card with the same hand.
