Halfords - Burgess Hill

Had an amazing experience with a young chap at Halfords with are bike which had dodgy forks. He fixed on the day and was so honest as to admit it took him not time and so did not feel he could charge for it. Will also use H from now on. Very thankful.

Absolutely brilliant and professional! They did both of my dipped headlight bulbs around 10 - 15 mins! Didn't have to take front bumper off which I was told you have to in order to replace the bulbs. They done a really good job! I'd use them again definitely!

Not a great experience this time.
Took bike in for a repair, told will take 5 days (acceptable). Turned up to collect bike to be told part will take further 3.5 weeks to arrive BUT I was not informed at any time. Took bike away and got it repaired elsewhere.

Good range of stuff. Click and collect available. Prices are on the up like most shops and I'm not sure how competitive they are now with online traders?. Staff that do the fitting seem pretty good at what they do and the few staff that are available are helpful and polite.
Looses a star due to poor staffing e.g. 8 people waiting at the till no staff available to open another!

Absolute 5 star service today. My only regret is that I didn’t get the man’s name! From answering the phone at 10am, to the service I got when I took my bike in on my lunch break! He assured me it would it be ready at 4pm and he didn’t let me down! Highly recommend!

Not impressed at all. Went for a 10 point car check for the main reason of checking the battery as I’d been having some problems with it. They said yes it needs swapping we can do that to then be told 20 minutes later they can’t do it because they are not allowed to disconnect a part on the battery for them to remove it. This I do not understand. This then resulted in the car not starting and when I asked if they could jump start the car so I could get home I was told it was not in there policy no offer of help in the mean time. I was left to wait in the car park for my breakdown service to rescue me whilst my partner walked home with our baby in the rain. I also had a pre booked time slot but still had to wait ten minutes before someone looked at the car and no mention to me they were running slightly behind, I wouldn’t have minded if I was told this at the start. My overall impression of the staff was they would al rather be else where and were only there for the money. All I can say I’m glad the 10 point check was a free service offered will not be going back to Halfords again. There are better car garages in Burgess Hill less than five minutes drive from Halfords who would provide better service.

After having issues with the contact centre/delivery service, I went to the Burgess Hill store and they were nothing but helpful, especially a lady named Lettie, she went out of her way to assist me and answered any questions I had. I will definitely be returning in future for any issues or new parts 👍

Alex at the cycling department was absolutely amazing! I had an issue with the battery of a foldable electric bike that I bough from Halford Brighton. In Brighton they didn’t know what to do and left me without any help. Customer service on the phone was just as helpless. The manufacturer didn’t want to deal with me because Halford is responsible of the product.

Only Alex did all he could possibly try to help me. Thank you thank Alex, you really made a difference!
