Halfords - Stafford

Store were extremely helpful so it’s they who get the 5 stars. However….. trying to join the motoring club was challenging - to put it mildly. The online application took us round and round and round. The staff tried, same result. The manager tried, same result. Everyone was totally baffled why I could not buy the premium car club membership online!
Spent nearly an hour in the store in total.

Awful customer service and rude staff.
I went into the Stafford branch of Halfords today to look for and purchase a new bike looking to spend up to £500 plus accessories in addition. I was in the store for 20 minutes looking at and around the bikes.
In this time no one came to ask if I needed assistance or help. The staff were standing at the desk chatting amongst themselves.
I was with my 2 year old daughter who as children do, started looking at the children's bikes and accessories. She then honked one of the children's bike toys a few times. A lady staff member then proceed to scowl at me and said in a very rude tone "Is that your child?"
Then carried on chatting.
I felt very upset so decided to leave,
being given rude stares as I left.
I will not be purchasing my bike from this store!
If you don't want kids to touch the bells then don't put them on lower shelving!

They changed the wrong bulb, they said the other one wasn’t working, it was working because it was steering assist and won’t work until you turn the wheel. They didn’t stick bulb I wanted so cost me £8 to fit and £5.50 for a bulb I didn’t need. Won’t be using again as they have no idea what they are talking about

Just wanted to document how helpful Wayne was during my visit to Halfords Stafford. I sorted 2 bikes for my 4 year old and 8 year old boys, it was clear Wayne just wanted to do the right thing, just got on with the job without any fuss. Cheers Wayne

Brake light bulb was fitted a couple of hours ago. I just turned up, told the person behind the counter what the problem was and literally within 12 minutes it was fixed and paid for. Brilliant service!!

Booked bike in with battery problem, halfords insisted o doing a free check. Arranged with the store for them to contact by phone/text to advise what problem was, when it would be fixed and the cost. The bike was with the store for a week, despite being booked in for a specific day/time. The only communication I received was an email (1 week to the day of the appointment) saying the bike check had been completed. Called customer services and they said it was ready to collect. Walked the 3 miles to the shop to collect to today to be told there was a cost to me, I as not aware of the cost, nor have i had any communication regarding what was done to my bike. I didn't have the money on me so was unable to take my bike. I then waked the 3 miles back home. The staff said they would (pointlessly) get the bike guy to call me tomorrow! When i said I'd spoken to customer services the staff said oh its just customer service, it's probably someone in a foreign country so they wouldn't know.

This is NOT Acceptable.

Had a brilliant experience at Halfords store in Stafford today! Technician 'Chris' was a pleasure to meet and he did a great job with our Citroen Picasso C3 as anyone who owns one will know the headlights are slightly more tricky to replace and he soon had us sorted and on our way! Thank you Chris at Halfords! 😊

A great place to shop for bits & bobs for your car/pedal cycle. I have recently purchased two car batteries from them, the batteries being of very good quality & at a very competitive price. I would have given them the full five stars if it were not for the confusing website, where I eventually managed to complete my order, but I found the navigation somewhat tiring.
