Halfords - Newport

I have excellent experience with Tony today. I bought the car lock but it was not fitting my car. Tony was extremely helpful and polite and he managed to return the lock and offered me his help to find other options. One of the best customer service I have ever received.

I booked a bike repair for my e bike here. Having researched thoroughly on their own website what they would and wouldn’t do regarding non Halfords bikes I was told that they would happily do mechanical repairs but not electrical. Since mine was mechanical I booked it in and left work early to make the appointment only to be told by Shaun (in a very unapologetic way) that actually at this store they don’t do any repairs. Considering they were listed on the main Halfords website as a store which does e bike repairs I was unhappy to have wasted my afternoon. Shaun was very rude about it and implied it was somehow my fault that I had been booked in for something they didn’t do and showed very poor customer service levels. In fact if it wasn’t for his rude response I wouldn’t be leaving a bad review t all and would have just put it down to a misunderstanding but he compounded my bad experience with his indifference. I’m giving them 2 instead of one stars because the girl who was with Shaun did try to apologise on his behalf and seemed to recognise that it was Halfords fault and not mine. I eventually went to an independent local bike shop who has no issues at all. I would recommend avoiding Halfords altogether and using a more local provider if you want any degree of customer service at all!

I would just like to say how pleased I was to go to the Halfords store at Newport East Retail Park & purchase a nearside headlight bulb for my Peugeot 308 car. The salesman then advised me to have both sides renewed which I thought was excellent advice. The salesman then came out & fitted them for me which was again very helpful as I wouldn't have been able to fit them myself as my hands are too big to get into the small places where the bulbs were. The price to buy & fit them was very reasonable as well. Another satisfied customer.

My bike rack had a problem fitting myself!!
However Halfords staff were on hand to help a big thanks to Mark who was very professional patient and who fitted the back rack securely for me.

I was able to pick up the phone cradle within an hour of ordering. Furthermore, the gentleman serving me offered to put it on the windscreen for me which was much appreciated. Excellent service.

Great store , always fast service. Friendly helpful staff and everything I need has been in stock each time. Ordered online and the collection date somehow got messed up, not the stores fault and the person on tills was able to fix this for me and resolve the issue really fast.

Dash cam fitted by Halfords very good price and tidy. The problem was after there was no help or demo how it works and no box with the USB cable etc.had to go back to the store and pick it up.
