Took my 2002 Japanese import BMW E39 540i to Grant & the guys yesterday to have the 20 year old transmission serviced!

It's only covered 56k miles, but it's 20 years old and was well overdue!

BMW state 'sealed for life'.. Rubbish! ZF (who make these boxes) state 60-80k miles for the service!

They've done a superb job; the car drives super-smooth & the transmission is very quiet now and it slips between the gears effortlessly 👍🏼

Took a recently purchased second hand car in to have the noisy automatic gearbox examined. The team here were brilliant, fast and professional service. Friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend.

A recommendation from a friend said to use these guys and I'll be honest, I couldn't fault the service. I was in no rush for a repair, and parts were an issue, by the time I'd returned to Wales, they'd already informed me that my transmission had been inspected. Parts were ordered, an issue with getting them. Not an issue as I was in no need of the vehicle. A repair took around 3 - 4 weeks and I'll say my truck was back to how it should be, crisp shifting and running spot on. For exotics, I'd recommend them to anyone around the country. Definitely THE go to for built transmission repairs. Albeit expensive, but I'd had asked for my transmission to be upgraded. They did just that and I was happy in parting with my money. Thanks to all the staff there. I have full confidence in my truck.

Took a look at my discovery, went through diagnostics and help identify the fault. Even though it turned out not to be a transmission issue, was really helpful and thorough. Highly recommend

I was going to leave a good review but that sadly will not happen. Gave my car in for possible dsg gearbox problems. Dropped the car and 4 days later followed up and was told checked spot on, no faults. Possible front brakes binding. Asked for charges was told just leave us a Google review of my experience and agreed to pick up car on Saturday. I couldn’t make it so my brother went to pick it up and they charged £60 claiming 3 weeks storage (when the car only went in on the 12th and picked up on 20th). When queried it mentioning no names they denied it point blank. If the person when asked would have said the charge or diagnostic then fine but all he asked as a gesture of goodwill to post a review as they were helpful and ( at the time honest). That is so sad that something positive has ended in a negative. The person lied saying charges where for storage “3 weeks” and diagnostics which found no fault. Unless these guys put anything on paper DONT BELIEVE A WORD THEY SAY.

Very helpful, friendly business. Took a look at our Land Rover at short notice and refused to take any payment for the works undertaken, I left with a clear understanding of what needs to be done. Would highly recommend if you have transmission issues.

An excellent company to work with. I had a possible problem with my gearbox and they gave me great advise at no cost. Very clean professional operation.

Took my car in for analysis of error code. Was met by a friendly chap, James who carried out the analysis and advised accordingly. A very pleasant experience and would recommend highly.
