I took my car for a general all round service at our local Colehill garage a couple of months back . Service I thought was a bit steep compared to others and I have since been told it was way over the odds , however I was approached with a huge potential problem regarding my car despite it being fine - That it would very soon require a clutch, flywheel and new gear box.(worn flywheel and clutch slipping which was and has only been experienced by this garage) Totalling £2737.30 with likelihood of additional costs. Time for Labour also didn’t add up. Never had my car shown issues and as a vulnerable family this was a huge worry after passing an mot 1-2 months prior.
I have since taken my car to several professionals at my expense who see absolutely no issues what so ever after thorough check ups! I was told it wouldn’t likely make it to Cornwall in September .

Whilst I was there , an elder lady also queried her price as it was more than usual for a service. I’m not sure what has gone on because I always thought the garage was reputable but something didn’t sit right with me then- and with a knowledgeable partner we weren’t happy and chose to get this checked for second opinions . Glad I did because although check ups have been paid for , It’s saved me thousands!

I would now rather drive to another garage than use our local. Which seems rather sad to say that I do not support local here at all.
