This is the first time I have used this garage to look at my car but it won't be the last. Very friendly and informative guys down at Burlington and I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a new mechanic. My engine light came on after my car cut out a few times so I took it down to these guys and they had a look at it very quickly. When I went to pick it up they told me everything they had done and gave me honest suggestions on what to do (as my gearbox is starting to show wear and tear). They didn't try and pressure me to get any extra work done and they gave me a very good price for the work they did.
100% recommend these guys!

I am new to Acton. I used Burlington for a full service on my BMW 1 series and an MOT. I had recently given my car in for recall at BMW who gave me a whole list of potential problems. Henry at Burlington cut through it all and gave me honest feedback on my car. I knew my brakes were worn, he gave me a rough time frame/mileage on each so that I got my front pads replaced and an understanding of when I need to change my rears. I left feeling confident that my car was in good shape and had been well looked after. All delivered at a fair price with an efficient service (all done in one day). All the electronic paperwork sorted for the MOT on the gov.uk website. I will be going back for my rear break pads in a few months time and thereafter for my next service.

Burlington motors always do an excellent job and charge a fair price. Henry is always so helpful and kind and will do what he can to help. All the staff are excellent. I feel confident having my car serviced/mot and repairs at Burlington's. Being a woman it can be daunting bring your car for servicing etc but never at Burlington's they is always a warm and personable welcome. I recommend them highly.

Burlington Motors are absolutely amazing - I had to rearrange getting a service and MOT a couple of times and they were super accommodating and helpful every step of the way. And when I did finally manage to get my car to them they did a fantastic job for a very reasonable price. 10/10, will be coming back to them for any work I need in the future.

For a vehicle with only 2000 miles' mileage per annum, an unsolicited service completely over what the owner requested (i.e. the owner only asked for MOT), including changing oil, sundries, oil filter and air filter, took 3 hours and made me receive a bill of over £340 to pay- note there is no request from me and no communication in between. My questions are 1) why did the mechanic worker do the service without asking the owner to inform the price first? 2) Three hours to do the above small deeds, swindle or clumsiness? 3) how did the inflation push up the price of 50% when I checked the bill I received 2 years ago from them, and authorised FULL service cost me £210 including the cost of replacing small objects (brake pad and wiper blade)? I don't believe I am treated decently therefore wanted to express my fury on the review.

Interesting to see the response. Still failed to answer my question 1- why didn't the mechanic call the owner consulting for her approval and price first when she booked and sent the vehicle in obviously for MOT only? - I don't believe it is any kind of "miscommunication" at all. When I got there, the guy printed the invoice and presented to me for payment. Also, the response failed to address my question 2 regarding three hours' work With this invoice I particularly asked another mechanic service to validate any reasonable piece of three hours and got assured that it was exaggerated- even with the so called details items- yes I have seen it too. Thank you.

Actually, I have two new questions to top those that I have raised which are based on your kind clarification. If possible, try to follow up so all customers can see. Thank you.

Question 4 and 4+: What's meaning of calling you back afterward? Why do you think a business should deal with customer in a bespoke negotiation for price against the scale of subjectivity instead of fair work? Or do you assume customers to negotiate for the bill before they pay? Happy- pay, not happy- discount? If yes, I think it would be good to tell all here. I apparently did not. Yes, I paid. I am angry because I was not fairly treated. Do you think I should reserve my right of sharing my experience?

Question 5: Does the UK have different standards for operating a family own business of what ever size and a non-family business? If yes what is it? I don't see any benefits of choosing a small family-own service provider such as price of transparency and competitiveness but suffered from a lack of further price negotiation - if this is your business philosophy of coping customer relation, good luck- some customers may come as they are happy but not those like me.

The best garage in the area without question. Hit my car and ever since had this rattling noise, especially loud when driving on the motorway. My friend recommended these guys, and I am so glad he did. Had my car checked by burlington motors acton today and was told the car is safe to drive and I have nothing to worry about, but if I wanted to change the part I could do so if the noise keeps bothering me. What I like from this, is their complete honesty, did not say I had to change the part like many other garages would just so they could charge you, plenty do that! And as a woman it is hard to find a garage who will not take the p. I am clueless about cars! these guys are just great. And If the noise still bothers me.. I will fix it at burlington motors acton and will only be going to them going forward. Thanks Henry and the team. Sonia
