Booked only a service. Phone call trying to pay get me to pay for extra things. Stated I do not need these. Tried to sell me two rear tyres and saying they are low on treat. I checked theses before going in and when home checked again and discovered the lowest threat on the trye was 3.8 mils! Trying to con me for tyres I don't need.
They changed a battery on my key which wasn't needed, i asked if this free, they said no and took it out! If they asked I could have stopped them a lot of trouble. If you go there make sure you check and say no otherwise you will be conned into items you don't need

Stated three times that my car needed 1 new tyre before the MOT. Dropped the car off to what seemed to be a rather disgruntled man.
He calls me and says my MOT failed based on the tyre.
He then brings up some advisories, one of these were the break disks. His words to me on the phone "The discs are severely weakened, what do you want me to do?". Having just spent a large sum of money on our other vehicle I simply said if it's just an advisory it will have to wait and to just change the tyre that I had asked to be done three times.
When I read my MOT report it clearly stated, "discs not seriously weakened". I knew I wasn't mistaken with what he said on the phone. Luckily my logic was intact as if they were SEVERELY weakened then it would have failed the MOT.
I will be taking the vehicle for a second opinion on ALL advisories and will steer clear of this place in the future. I'm always wary of being ripped off by garages. It's a shame that in 2022 we're still experiencing this!

Booked my car in for a MOT at BETS. Failed on 3 tyres. Took it for new tyres somewhere else and was told there was nothing wrong with my tyres. Went to a different garage for another MOT. Failed on 1 tyre but on something BETS hadn’t picked up on. Obviously BETS are looking for faults that are not there so that you spend money unnecessarily. Avoid this place at all costs.
Employees are not that friendly either.

Highly recommended. A garage I feel very comfortable with. I changed from the Toyota main dealers once the warranty ran out about 5 years ago as I was unsatisfied with them. You get good honest advice about any problems or potential problems. I wouldn’t go anywhere else for my services and MOTs now..

I don’t normally do reviews but when you find a garage you can trust people should be made aware, we have used Bets for a couple of years now and can honestly say from booking in the car, through to diagnostics, repairs & collection, we can’t fault the service. We have recommended the garage to many other people.

I'm a bit late writing a review but my impending MOT reminded me, BETS did a service for me last year with my MOT, I had excellent treatment and customer service and I feel very confident bring my car back to them again this year.

I have used this garage for 20years now, they have always been very honest and never try and charge you for something that doesn't need doing which is why i have used this garage for so many years knowing they will always do a great job for a reasonable price thanks to guys at Bets!
