My partner and I were surprised with a sourdough class as a gift from our family. Lawrence came highly recommended and had a breadth (mind the pun) of experience. Lawrence was very accommodating taking on people of all experiences including ourselves as complete beginners.The day was organised well so that we had time to make four different types of bread, have a quick lunch and a good natter! The best part of the day was that we could take all of our bread home!

I have had bread, focaccia as well as buns from Lawrence on a weekly basis for a long time. All the products are very delicious, and often warm on arrival, which l love. The customer service is brilliant and reliable. l highly recommend Hackney Bread Kitchen to all the bread lovers.

Superb fresh sourdough bread delivered to your door every week made locally by a lovely bloke who loves bread too much. Classic Sourdough is up there with the best in London. Fantastic rye bread that even my 91 year old German granny said was great and she knows rye bread. She’s not said anything nice about anything since the 1980’s so that’s a compliment in itself. I always look forward to Friday delivery.

Honestly the best sourdough bread out there! The focaccia is also incredible, topped with onions and rosemary - irresistible! Hyper local, made with care in a micro bakery, and excellent service. I’ve been ordering for 3 years now and can’t recommend enough.

Excellent bread, excellent service. We have had the weekly delivery service for two years and have no complaints. Indeed, we recommend it to people who live in our area. The bread is reliably delicious and the subscription is (in my view) great value for money. The consistency and convenience of the service have been especially helpful during the 'lockdown era.' I've met Lawrence 3 years ago at a local market in Hackney and I was literally blown away by his amazing sourdough bread, but what really blew my mind was the FOCACCIA. Simply the best focaccia you'll ever get in the UK (I'm not kidding, I'm Italian and I know quite a lot about focaccias!). The texture is perfect, flavours enhanced by the rosemary and red onion slices that perfectly matches with the yeasty-ness of the bread, a real masterpiece!!! I've seen his business growing and he's now microbaking from the back oh his house, bike delivering all over East London, so if you want to eat some amazing bread and support a local business, do yourself a favour and subscrivbe to his weekly bread delivery, you won't be disappointed. Keep going Lawrence!

We’ve been having HBK bread delivered to our home for nearly 2 years - it’s amazing! Delicious bread and excellent service. Lawrence is lovely and I can’t rate this highly enough. I can recommend the Danish Rugbrod bread 👌🏼 And the focaccia 😋

I’ve had the pleasure of having HBK bread delivered to me since the start, and rarely have I bought any other bread since. It is a delight to receive HBK fresh and often warm whole meal sourdough with seeds for my lunch, and delicious cinnamon or turmeric rolls for tea. The focaccia, porridge, and Danish rye also delicious. A great weekly treat baked with love and delivered by bike.
