Doorstep Bakery

First visit today, nice friendly ladies there. Bacon and egg roll was so, sooooo good! Got some cake and another roll for later. Can’t wait to visit again.

Great vibes from the staff always friendly and willing to have a chat. The food is amazing freshly made fillings everyday for your choice of bread. One of my favourites though has to be their homemade cakes especially the sprinkle cake 😍 I would highly reccomend this place to anyone x

This place is an absolute gem. Really tasty food prepared just as you request. Bacon & Egg roll on crusty bread with no sauce was done to perfection today. Always Friendly service too…Been going here for years, always a winner!

honestly, what do you want out of a bakery? the chicken and halloumi sandwich is utterly gigantic and covered in mayo which you wouldn't think works but very much does and the staff are genuinely very nice without being ingratiating. the cakes look traditional and satisfying in a nostalgic school-dinnersy way (I absolutely mean that as a compliment) and the bread is stunning. it used to (and perhaps still does) get baked in the early hours of the morning and you could smell it half way down the road to New Cross as you walked home from the pub. dreamy. the bakery is a mainstay of the area and I always make sure to go if I happen to be around. a gem, really.

A must go if ever in the area you will not be disappointed. Friendly staff and cater for all.. fresh and tasty food hot or cold..
