Greggs

This branch is almost never open at 6:30, which is a real problem. The opening hours say they open at 6:30, but if I go on the way to the station to catch a 6:40 train, I risk disappointment. Worse, the staff haven't been trained to acknowledge customers, so I can be waiting outside, countdown for my train ticking, in the freezing cold, and they'll be slowly loading the fridge, getting the shop ready, but won't acknowledge that I'm waiting. Worse, their tardiness is getting my day off to a late start.

Orders are often wrong, simple instructions (separate bags please) are forgotten. First thing in the morning, steak bakes are burned, dry and stale tasting.

I've been using this store a couple of times a week for a year, and it's just getting worse. Recently I've stopped going because they're so unlikely to be ready. Went again this morning, waited for 5 minutes, no acknowledgment that I was waiting, and I had to give up to catch my train. Wrote this review frustrated, stressed, and hungry. 1 star, diligently earned.

Update: still shoe, still grumpy

I just bought a steak bake...the young lady threw it across the little counter. Not much of an embassador for Greggs...took a bite and it's cold. In the shop right now. Given another one 🙄 same same. Nil new batch for 2 hours...unless current ones are sold.
Lesson learnt...ask if they are fresh out of the oven. Not worth the pit stop.

Ok experience at the Deptford shop on Saturday morning. Tea bag bursted with tea leaves swimming everywhere in the cup but it was replaced without hesitation. Though the service could have been more enthusiastic and attentive.

Ordered on just eat , most of the delivery was missing and the coffee came half empty and had lumps in it so clearly hadn’t been mixed. This place needs new staff. AVOID.

Went in today the staff where beyond rude, I was served by a young man who didn’t say a single work to be. Despite me initiating a conversation. Then when I bit into my cheese and onion pastie it was stone cold.

Work on customer service really needs work at this store

Went here today to purchase sausage roll and needed to drink warm water. Lady gladly gave me hot water for free, my offer to pay was declined. I am very grateful. Thanks for been understanding and kind.

Can't go wrong with a Gregg's. Quick and easy service, and you know what you're getting with their food. If you have the O2 priority app, you can get a free sausage roll every week (yes, includes the vegan one).
