Rude staff.

On tuesday evening I was allready stressed after losing my motorcycle keys, Gregg's was one place I may have dropped them so I passed by to see if they had been handed in.

They had just closed and there was a female staff member cleaning by the door so I knocked on the door because I just wanted to ask if my keys had been handed in so I could get home to Barnstaple.

She turned around and rudely shook her head at me in disgust that I had disturbed before bluntly saying "we're closed" and turning around again. I knocked a second time and she completely ignored me. The third time I knocked she still did not acknowledge me but shouted to another staff member out the back that there was someone at the door who came to see me and told me my keys had not been handed in.

I wasn't looking to be served I simply wanted to ask a quick and simple question because I needed too find my keys to get home. Instead I was made to feel like a problem, more stressed and just another number. Thankfully I'm back in Barnstaple where the staff are less reluctant to want to even consider helping a loyal customer/person in need.

Great place to pop into for something to eat and drink. Very good prices for what you get.

My love of Gregg's sausage rolls is a story that has dominated my life. Friendships ruined, lives upturned by the lengths I will go to, to make sure I have a sausage roll daily.

I've tried others, they fail in comparison with this iconic bakes meaty gold nugget of wonder.

If I am travelling, I'll make sure I have at least fifty sausage rolls stashed in a bag. If I am celebrating with friends, we will most probably end up here.

True, there are other products, the Steak Bake is OK, the vegan sausage roll is a modern culinary miracle, the Sausage & Bean Bake is a second choice but really, there is no compromising.

The staff are always friendly. There is nearly always a sausage roll with my name on it. Five stars is not nearly enough.

I'm sorry to have to write this but I work in Gregg's in a different town, I went in to get my granddaughter a vegan sausage roll and two glazed doughnuts. I showed the girl who served me my greggs discount card and scanned it. I gave her my order. She handed me a normal bag with a sausage roll inside, I said I asked for a vegan roll and she replied" we ain't got any vegan bags. She gave me one glazed doughnut, I said I asked for two. There was no sorry or any sort of conversation at all! She then said, that's £2. I said no, I've scanned my discount card. She said," do it again then! I scanned it again. She said £2!! I said I cant be and quoted the price of each item plus the discount, she just shrugged her shoulders at me! I gave up and gave her the £2. I just want to say that none of this would have happened in the shop that I work in. Someone would have stepped in and helped this girl who obviously hadn't been trained properly.
