Meringue Bakery & Cafe

We've been to Meringue many times and always enjoy it there. The cake is fantastic. They've always been very accommodating to us when we have come in with our young baby. Definitely recommended.

5 * isn’t enough for this delightful Bakery & Cafe! My friend and I decided to try it - so we both had a lovely full English breakfast!! Which was delicious!!
Had a lovely chat with staff! Nothing was to much trouble! Lovely atmosphere!

Great food. Never eaten a bad meal here. Never rushed and the choice of cakes is always good. Would recommend booking in advance though as it can be busy around lunchtime.
We had the warm sandwiches and lemon meringue pie which were both lovely. The pecan pie they do is the best I have ever had.

We went for Saturday lunch.
Meringue is open Wednesday-Saturday.
It's very safe, they have clearly put a lot of thought into their customers safety.
There are lots of homebaking to buy and takeaway too.
I love the food as it's all freshly made and good quality.
I had beef and ale pie with vegetables and roast potatoes. The pastry was delicious, and the meat was tender.
Will we be back, oh yes.
The lemon meringue pie is amazing, you need to see it to believe it.
We bought cakes to take home, as we were too full and content, to eat anymore.

Independent, family run bakery. Great food everytime. Even over these testing times in 2020 their bakery shop and take out meals are delicious. So important to support local businesses more than ever and this place is a joy!

Had Saturday afternoon lunch with a friend and it was all lush. I had tuna and cheese melt, friend had bacon and brie sandwich and fries plus a cake, mince pie and drinks all was delicious. Highly recommended and will be back

Visited for lunch and enjoyed a really lovey meal. The cakes were very tempting too and I very nearly spoilt my diet. Visited a few times now and the staff are always very helpful even though they are so busy.
