I cannot speak for the food, but knowing their card-only policy, the way they treated an employee who was doing the right thing to help customers without bank cards, and then turning off reviews on their affected branch is enough to put me off ever giving this chain my money.

People, especially outside the city, do not always have bank cards. Even in London 99% of shops are still accepting cash if they must!

Great little bakery. I sometimes pop in on my way to work for a warm breakfast roll (normally the sausage and coffee deal). Also a great selection of classic cakes and cream cakes. My diet regularly goes out the window when I'm near this bakery.

Ooh! What delicious rolls we had! Plain simple bacon rolls, and a cappuccino. The rolls were light and fluffy, looked a bit like brioche, should have asked what they were, but jam packed with bacon. The cappuccino was good too. Staff were lovely and polite, service excellent!

This morning at 8:55 I was running late to attend dental practice and decided to grab something for breakfast from here. Unfortunately the serving lady was the most racist person I have ever met in the UK. She spent several minutes serving a gentleman before me seeing me there. Then I waited several minutes for her to call me forward and even tried saying hello a few times that she ignored. Then she called the next person instead of me. When I reminded her that I should be next person she rudely said It’s not right. The gentleman who was after me confirmed I was there before him but the lady insisted I wasn’t. I ended up to leave the bakery withough purchase and would never go back. She was poor lady in 50-60s with glasses. Never seen this behaviour from anyone, let alone how friendly people are when I am in NHS clothes!

I'm a regular visitor here and must say that the staff and the food is always spot on . The Christmas decorations are lovely too. If you haven't been in get along and see for yourself.
